  1. At St Mary's Hospital in Southern Maryland they start at $12/hr but will get more depend on the shift. I think in Baltimore Area should make more.
  2. Have you take a look at CNL program from UM. It's more expensive than regular BSN at UM but less money than JHU and have a good reputation too. YOu only need to take 1 more class like gen-chem! NCLEX pass rate is also high. Also go visit the open house of each university. That way you will gain more info and impression. Then you can decided which one is fit you!
  3. If I go to school in Virginia and live in Maryland. What will happend when I want to get the Maryland license after I graduated from Virginia's school? Anybody have the same situation? please help
  4. Dear Chaundrah, Thanks a lot for the information. I actually am comparing between CNL at UMB and ABSN at JHU. ONe of the reason why I am leaning toward UMB because the financial wise. I don't do the Traditional BSN at UMB because of the timing, I want to enter the job as fast as I can. I want to be the CRNA someday and the CNL program at UMB will lead me to the goal like every BSN program anywhere else.(I just talk to the Director of CRNA at UMB :)) I live in MD and I definitely will attend both open house programs. Then will decide which one is best for me. Thanks again,
  5. DO you mean the MS-CNL that competitive? or the BSN one? I would like to know more about the CNL program and willing to fight for it.
  6. thank you for the reply, I am not an RN yet, but I am thinking about to get any degree to be one. I think MS-CNL is the interesting program for who already has a bachelor's degree from other field like me. IS it hard to get in though? thank you
  7. Hello, I am researching the info about CNL program at U of MD, I need advice/info. from who already graduated, in the program and are pusuing the program, -the recognition of the program? I know that this program is just started couple years ago. -How easy for you to find a job after graduate? - Is it hard to get in? - what is the competitive gpa? mine is less than 3.5 and will try my science gpa to be 4.0 Any info will be deeply appreciate, thank you
  8. Hello, I am thinking about get my second degree BSN with John Hopkins but I am not sure about the loan that I will have after I graduate. Do you really have the $60000 loan after graduate from BSN/13 mons program? If I agree to work at John Hopkins Hospital do they have the tuition reimbursement for the new grads? and how does it work? Please I need help, any answer will appreciate!
  9. Hello everyone, I am moving to Baltimore area soon and I would like to know how much does the hospital pay for the CNA?GNA licenses. I have couple months experiences in the nursing home. I would like to work in the hospital though. Also, is it hard to find a job as a CNA in the hospital? Thank you,
