  1. My advice to you guys is to really accumulate a lot of experience before coming here because when it's time to get a job, you have to compete with hundreds of other nurses. Get at least 2 years experience if you can because that's the requirement of most employers when it comes to hospitals
  2. I have a feeling this is going to involve a lot of paperwork.
  3. That moment when you don't know what the hell is going on
  4. The thing with AAON is that they rarely reply to your email unless it's a matter of life and death. JK I could just remember being frustrated because they wouldn't answer my emails and the BP was starting in a few weeks. I think there are more applicants right now. :)
  5. Just paying it forward :) I wanted to wait until I get my registration and a job before I summarize my experience lol
  6. It's fine. I had a lot of questions too lol. Yes, I did include it in my gaps in work. But I did have 3 months of volunteer experience which I listed down in my work experience since I was given a certificate. Try to make sure you get something like maybe a recommendation letter from your charge nurse or something. :)
  7. It's best to complete the vaccination form as they will ask for it :)
  8. Yup, just graduated aug 23, waiting for my registration now. Went back to PI (although you don't really have to). will pm you
  9. cummulus, i remember your username lol. i have a friend who's also in IHNA august intake. good luck with your clinicals
  10. How do we follow up our visa? I tried calling up the 17xx xxxx xxx number but they could not tell me the status of my applicaton
  11. Just go to immi.gov.au and pick your visa type. Follow the instructions on the forms
  12. How long after your medicals are sent will your visa be approved? I really, really want to know. Please
  13. glitz: thank you! i also answered self-employed lol. i hope i can get a multiple visa. by the way, have you already planned what you're going to do after the BP? You'll probably come back and go back to aus because you got multiple entry right? lol
  14. Oh no.. what did you answer here? lol and btw, did you get a multiple entry visa? :)
  15. Go to a new doctor and ask if you can have adult doses even though you might have had them as a baby- is what I meant
  16. if you had those shots as a baby, ask your doctor if you can have them again now. they usually still give adult doses. the titer is usually more expensive than the actual vaccine
  17. i have a watch with an alarm so i use that. it's easier to keep track of things especially when your tasks do not exactly fall on the hour but some random time like 3:48 lol
  18. Finding accommodation on gumtree - how do you know who to trust? lol
  19. i paid $120 for my OSHC but it was the school who arranged it.
  20. I guess we can bring some medications. No word on vitamins but I'm thinking it's fine lol. Found this: Entering Australia (additional info aside from the link silverdragon posted. Thanks for that btw)
  21. I'm also planning to bring lots of medications lol. Btw, do they check the content of your laptop?
  22. I sent my visa app through VIA may 2. Until now, I haven't received any confirmation? Is this normal? Is there a way to check the status of my application online? Thanks!
