Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
My advice to you guys is to really accumulate a lot of experience before coming here because when it's time to get a job, you have to compete with hundreds of other nurses. Get at least 2 years experience if you can because that's the requirement of most employers when it comes to hospitals

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
The thing with AAON is that they rarely reply to your email unless it's a matter of life and death. JK I could just remember being frustrated because they wouldn't answer my emails and the BP was starting in a few weeks. I think there are more applicants right now. :)

Just paying it forward :) I wanted to wait until I get my registration and a job before I summarize my experience lol

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
It's fine. I had a lot of questions too lol. Yes, I did include it in my gaps in work. But I did have 3 months of volunteer experience which I listed down in my work experience since I was given a certificate. Try to make sure you get something like maybe a recommendation letter from your charge nurse or something. :)

Go to a new doctor and ask if you can have adult doses even though you might have had them as a baby- is what I meant

if you had those shots as a baby, ask your doctor if you can have them again now. they usually still give adult doses. the titer is usually more expensive than the actual vaccine

How do you remember to check on patients q 15min or 2hrs, etc?
i have a watch with an alarm so i use that. it's easier to keep track of things especially when your tasks do not exactly fall on the hour but some random time like 3:48 lol

I sent my visa app through VIA may 2. Until now, I haven't received any confirmation? Is this normal? Is there a way to check the status of my application online? Thanks!
