  3. It really depends if your application is complete. I had some paperwork missing so I was notified very close to the interview date. But keep in mind that our application was due Dec 1st, which could have made a difference. But Im assuming after the holidays because the nursing dept will be closing. Anyways, if you do get an interview make the best of it because if you made it that far then they are seriously considering you. Be sincere and express your reasons for pursuing nursing and why Western U.

  5. I'm currently a first semester student and we dont start working full time untill next year. I tend to study a couple of hours everyday, sometimes this includes weekends. But they do stress the importance of having a pesonal life so it is important to take some days off to relax. I dont know how many people they accept versus direct entry students, this is a good question to ask the school. I know when i applied for the direct entry they interviewed 100 and accepted 50. Our class consist of 48 students.

  8. Nosmas, I was in the same boat as you. I was premed but decided my last year in college that medical school wasnt for me and because of this I got a lot of disapproval from my family. I also had a low gpa but so far I have already been accepted to two programs and interviewing for another FNP program. Dont give up!!!

  18. I took Anatomy and Physio by itself it was challenging but doable. I felt that I grasped the material better taking the courses separate. Just be prepare to study hard.
