Hello, my last letter of recommendation was submitted today & I sent my application 2/28. Can I ask what date you submitted your app & how long until you received a decision? Also, did they offer any merit/funding? I am playing the waiting game now. Thank you and Congratulations!

Thank you so much everyone! I've been so busy celebrating hehe .. anyway i responded to all the personal messages i hope it helps I am praying for all of you. To the ones who are waiting.. I called the BRN 3 times to make sure my file was complete and they had my transcripts. I took it Friday July 6 and My name was on the CA BRN website on July 13.. http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800 type ur name..and see if you received a license. thats the soonest way to find out IF you Passed.. but don't rely on it, some people have to wait weeks.. As to study, I took the Live Kaplan Review (my school had a discount) My instructor was really good, and the class helped me with new format questions and priority questions. I probably only answered 300+ q-bank questions. For content, I read this small book called "NCLEX made ridiculously Simple which basically gives you bulletpoints on each topic. I didn't read the KAPLAN book Or Saunders book. I used the Saunders CD ROM. did about 500+ study mode questions, two 100 question exams and a bunch of 10 question quizzes to help review content. I read the rationales for each one. I studied for about 2-3 hr each day for 2 weeks. I feel that nursing school prepared me well for the exam. Good Luck to you all. God Bless. You will all be nurses soon enough. P.s. a reminder that I was so sure I failed, I was ready to take another review..I heard Hurst is really good. But I've heard that everyone misses 50% of the questions, and it is all about how difficult your questions are, but it is hard to determine which q's are difficult. so just breathe, read each question carefully, get rid of the answers that don't work and pick the best one.

my brother in AZ checked the CA BRN @ 0600 today and called me to say "CONGRATULATIONS RN!" Thank GOD for hearing everyone's prayers! Congratulations to everyone who passed. And everyone waiting, hang in there ! I 'knew' I failed...I was gonna start studying & take a Hurst review...NO need for that =] I'm crossing my fingers for all of you! This website really helped me through the waiting period. I took my exam last Friday July 6 called the BRN on wed & they said they didn't have my transcript...and told me to ask my college when they sent it... no answer from college. called BRN thurs morn, no transcripts "when did ur college send em" ME : " I Dont KNOW" college : "we sent em JULY 3." BRN (3rd call) when did they send em? ME: "JULY 3" BRN : it'll take at least 2 weeks to evaluate. ME: "OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugh OK." and next morning i'm an RN :balloons: So, call the BRN and make sure your file is complete. i still have KAPLAN access till september.. didn't use it too much...but priority questions were similar and new format questions...good way 2 practice if you need the login lemme know

yup we dont have the luxury of quick results. i too keep checking the website to see if my name is there. haha i'm sure we all have a little bit of OCD in us...i find myself sometimes being ADD too. i will cross my fingers for you...

i took my nclex on friday july 6 at 230 pm in calif. and my name is still not on the BON website. why must they torture us? my exam stopped at 81 questions in a little over 2 hours. i had no math, 3-4 select all that apply, 1 drag/drop (put in order) and one exhibit question. there were a bunch of drug questions, some who would you see first, call back first, discharge in a disaster, and teaching i have a terrible feeling! reading the threads have made me smile, laugh cry and keep me somewhat sane. i do not want to take NCLEX over again...

congratulations rubyslippers! i took mine on july 6 also and im in california. what is the 900 number!? i'm dying waiting over here
