I got the tungsten e2. i don't really need the wifi. i got it from the palm store online it was free shipping and free half gig of memory. i can't complain. i got it and i love it. so i guess i'll see you guys tomorrow. oh hey do you guys know of a cheaper place than skyscape?? i want to get the davis drug guide but don't really want to spend 50 bucks if i don't have to.... help please

Yea i printed the handbook and outlines out too. I actually did it in the library at the school so technically they didn't save much money with me. :rollAnyways I still have to get my uniform and my books. I just ordered my palm and plan on getting it early next week. Im siked about that. Time is kinda dragging but im pretty certain once we start school it'll fly. We are going to be sooooo busy.

k so i just read the outlines and the handbook andddd.... IM FREAKING OUT i hope you guys are too... lol i still have to get my uniforms hand in a copy of my cpr card and my malpractice insurance AND get my books. the countdown has begun people 30 days from today!! its just around the cornerrrrrrr.....

well i have both a stethoscope and a BP cuff. i've had it. but im getting a new stethoscope, a littman. i might get the pink breast cancer one. im not sure tho. but i know that if you want a good one get a littman. and as for the handbook please let me know when one of you get's in b/c even with the new password from the packet i can't get in.

Yea i think they are a little confused over there with their dates. It is definitely 2009. They don't know what they are talking about. lol but i registered for 001 schedule. so i guess i'll see you both there. if i knew what you looked like lol.... but yea im certified for cpr already i just have to renew it which i can do at my job for free. sweetgrl do you have a card saying that you are certified? i think you may need that. and as for the packet lori i don't think they'll mail it to you. to be safe, so that you can start to get all that stuff done, i would go and pick it up.

hey just thought i'd let you guys know i registered on tuesday. (i went there and did it) i had gotten my email from safeguard last thursday as well and you don't need to have your physical and all that done before you register. they still had a hold on my registering but they let me talk to this professor and i told him that i had already received my background check but im still being held back. so he told me to email him the report and then he cleared me. so it's done. im official!!! im going for my physical today. oh and when you register you get a packet. it's a packet of allll this other crap you have to do. order uniforms, get cpr certification, get liability insurance, and purchase a skills kit for $115.00. AND THE WORST PART..... it says you have to do it by JULY 10!!!!!!! i don't really get that. i think they have their dates messed up or something. but just incase i suggest you people get a move on it. as soon as you can that is. oh and i called the people and they said the skills kit doesn't include a stethescope or bp cuff or any of that he said it has stuff like iv tubing insulin kits etc. i guess just stuff we can "play" with. IM SOOO EXCITEEDDD. k i hope you guys get your stuff done. we haven't even started yet and these people are demanding so much!! lol oh well i know it will be worth it!!

heeelllloooo everybody. k so i was wondering if anyone else got into the student handbook. cuz i can't do it. AND has anybody heard anything about uniforms? AND has anybody registered yet???

Well I can understand that if you are chewing like a horse then it would be unprofessional other wise if you keep your mouth closed and keep the gum under control then it would be fine. When you talk just put it on the side of your mouth. Not really a big deal. And as for putting a mask on... patients feel uncomfortable as it is. How would you like it if you had your nurse or doctor walk into the room with a mask on. A lot of paitens no matter what you say or do take things very personal. I try not to do it unless absolutely necessary.

I did not know that it was adaptive. Very interresting. Anyways im not thinking about the test anymore... I GOT IN... and that's all that matters. I was wondering what kind of pda do any of you have? What do you recommend? Where do you get your programs from? I didn't even know that pda's were that popular for nursing school until I started reading a lot of posts on this site. I am very interrested in this and want as much info as possible.

Ok so obviously things can get a little smelly in the hospital. So make sure whenever you are in clinical you bring one of those really strong minty gums. it goes right to your nose and helps to cover the smell. Also it won't offend your patient like putting on a mask.

Congrats to the both of you. I just got accepted tooooo!!! I am so excited because I felt like I did HORRIBLE on the test. As for the drug screening I wouldn't be surprised if they did do a screening. They do it for a lot of jobs especially if you work in a hospital. And really we will be working in hospitals for clinical. As for when they will do the drug screening I don't think you will need it to register maybe just to start clinical. And as for the books lori62 how did you order them? I went on efolett but they didn't have them up yet. Sooo HELP PLEASE!!
