Hi! I took my nclex in Phil last march and my agency told me there was some problem in saipan that slows down their system that is why i still havent got my result. My result will be send to my agent's address and i dont have any choice but to wait for it. Can i just apply to another state even if i dont have my result yet? what about if i take the canadain registered nurse examination? is it also as hard as nclex?

hi! for me, i took kaplan online review. They will send you a good book and also you can practice on line. The harder the questions, the better you are prepared for the real thing. Nothing beats studying on your own at your own phase. Sometimes going to review centers takes up so much of your time because of traveling (traffic i mean hehe) and when you are with friends sometimes chatting and eating...=) I hope this helps! its really frustrating, i feel like ive been cheated by this agency. U r right, i will start spreading the news to my friends that they better do it on their own as it will be more helpful for them (also less expenses) and that their fate is in their own hands. I was so so wrong.

my agency is already closed and i am just getting in touch (trying to) with her thru emails. I paid her P15,000 for processing only. It was inclusive of live lecture review and some handouts and dvds. I still shouldered the payment for the exam itself. Its true, u can do it alone. If you need assistance, i think maybe Entralink in makati can assist you. Its not the same agency that i went through though.

But it has been 3 months. You are right. I must get used to processing papers alone. Look what happened to me. Thanks a lot.

Yes i do have my local license. I wanted to work here in the phil but no vacancies as well. What country would accept me if i cannot even get a decent work here as nurse in the phil? I mean they all require 2 years experience or so. But thank you Suzzane. I appreciate ur honesty abt all these. I know u r are not discouraging us, but helping us not to be fooled any longer. Be realistic.

Hi! I want to ask who among here went thru agencies for nclex application? Some agencies are not really helping us, giving us false hopes and taking advantage of us. Me, yes, i did go thru an agency and applied to saipan as my state and up until now, i still have no result for my nclex. Had i known better, i shld hav not gone thru any agency. Advising me that its easier there, especially the licensing and endorsing to other state. I was just very eager to get it all done and paid my agency to do the "processing" for me. Yes, all my fault actually. Here in the philippines, if u dnt have the patience and time to do all the research in the net of how to do this and that, ull go thru an agency or review center that will "process" ur papers. Thats wat i did. And it seems that instead that i moved forward, having gone thru saipan only delayed my agony so much looooooonnnnggggggggerrr. I just wanna share this experience. Maybe someone here shares the same story too. Thank You.

you are so right. here in the philippines, we are asked for training fee and donations so we can have training in hospitals. i think its crazy. i have worked hard for my license and its demeaning that i have to pay to work as nurse instead of the other way around? i loved being a nurse. its just so hard to push thru this dream anymore. i took nclex last march 8 and still no result (from saipan) and even if i passed, what use it is for me? after 10 years maybe? or from the looks of it, not anymore. u are right, it doesnt make sense at all.

my agency finally contacted me thru email and she said she has been trying to update my result but to no avail. What does that mean? ill contact the BON in mariana islands tomorrow. hi! i am from the philippines. took nclex last march 8 and up until now i still havent got my result. I went thru an agency when applying for nclex and my state is in nothern mariana islands. Now my agency doesnt return my text messages, emails, and it seems they have transfered office. My nclex result is addressed to them so i have to wait for the agency to call me which seems to be impossible now bec i havent heard from them. Is there any way that i cld know my result? does it usually take this long to wait for the result? does anybody here took the nclex in manila and the state applied is from northern mariana islands? if u have any information that could help me, pls help me thank you

i am starting to lose hope, i resigned to my job as preschool teacher to look for a nursing job, but sadly, not one has called. I heard that volunteers are accepted by batch and you have to "donate" 5k-10k to the hospital that u r training in. training also is not an assurance that they will hire you though. isnt that really a downfall for us? instead for growth, it seems we are exploited, looking for hospital that will hire us and ends up as a volunteer? thanks so much for your reply. i appreciate it. good luck!

hi nurses! i knw we are all waiting for retrogression to be over. How long exactly are we talking about? is it 5 years? how about for those who havent started their visa applications? 10 years more? maybe u can share what do u do while waiting for these things to clear up? since being a volunteer doesnt count as working experience abroad, i wonder if any of u still consider doing volunteers and trainings? and applying as a staff nurse seems impossible nowadays, how will us nurses ever have any growth in our field? are you currently: 1. Unemployed? 2. A Volunteer in a hospital? 3. Went back to your previous job? 4. Go back practicing your first course? 5. Reviewing for nclex/cgfns? (if u passed, its still waiting time right?) i hope we will all be able to practice nursing here (with the right amount of salary) and abroad (after retrogression maybe). thanks so much! God bless!

hi! i also took the nclex-rn two days ago in manila, stopped at 75... i did not have any computation or any SATA questions. Did u get those questions? is it a bad bad sign? my BON doesnt participate in quick result too so i have to wait wait and wait... it was a surreal experience! ive never been so nervous my whole life!

hi! i took my nclex yesterday and i think i failed too... i did not have SATA and computations, my computer stopped at 75. I feel very bad bec im thinking the computer gave up on me at 75 questions. Like i was sucking so bad the computer did not have any choice but to shut down. still waiting for my result though.

i really don't understand why do we need to pay "donations" to hospitals if we are supposed to be trainees/volunteers right?! as if working without pay is not bad enough, but u have to pay them donations to get your certificate. wat is happening to our country? are they taking advantage of us nurses who are in need to have at least minimum of 2 years experience to qualify to work abroad?
