  1. Hyde Park s really close to TGH I just moved here last year so I am not familiar with a lot of things yet.I work in the nicu 50 something beds and very busy. We have 8 hrs and 12 hrs shifts. I think all depends where you want to work. I like the nicu is always busy and always crazy...that's just me...If u need any other help let me know...I'll be more than glad to help you. harold.
  2. hi again ...I worked today and looked in the hospital board..there were a couple of postings about people looking for roomates. These postings are inside the hospital so I am sure they are safe. one had a telephone number is 813-3178114.....there are pictures of the apartment and it looks nice. the other has an email address and I know here do not post them but i'll try anyway [email protected]. good luck and I hope it helps you.

  4. I am a male nurse working in the nicu. no problem here.I have worked in Maryland and different cities in Fl . You learn to work with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. I just do my job. I don't see gender. I just take care of the little ones. In my unit we are 2 male nurses and 100 females....not bad

  6. good morning netty78. We moved to tampa last year after spending a year in Baltimore. Prior to that we worked and lived in Ft lauderdale and Miami. My wife is a NPpicu at st josephs and I am a rn and rrt nicu. Around this area you have all childrens st josephs and tampa general. I work at tampa general. It's a very busy place. We found a perfect place in Fishhwauk 35 minutes outside tampa(south-east) near brandon. I was in your situation last year and I know how it is. We have 2 boys 10 and 11.

  8. don't give up. It will get better. Just give it sometime.read read and read. as long as you have the basic neonatal facts and knowledge the rest will come with time. good luck.

  12. hello all. I need information about nursing in tampa or tampa area. I am a rrt and rn. RRT for 17 years and rn for 4 in the nicu. I am moving from Baltimore next month and I need some kind of info. I have both lic. any ideas? any hospitals to work at?, any agencies someone can recommend.I take care of my 2 boys during the week and work mostly weekends.
