  1. You know I got my ATT letter on 5-20-09 and I checked the dates and the first available was 5-26-09 and I thought that is way too early and I was scared but I realized that I was not gonna know any more now than I would a month from now. Though I did study questions about 100 a day for the days between the 20th and my test day. I studied ATI that my school had set up Virtual ati and the 2 week class is still going on I only did 8 days of it and mainly focused on the med surg part, I dont hink that is what helped me. I also had a kaplan book that I bought for 30.00 it was one to learn strategies, though I dont think thats what did it either. I feel that what you were taught in school is what helps, you either know it or you dont...the NCLEX RN is not hard, its actually much easier than any school test I had anyways...yes there is alot of anticipation and stress in wondering and waiting and seeing if you will pass but I feel you know the common sense material or you dont its that simple. Others might disagree with me but thats the way I feel.
  2. I passed and I guess I thought I would but to see my name on the OBN's website this morning is quite amazing! Now I guess its on to the real world of actual nursing. And now I can get insurance (medical for myself) because I will be working full time...I have never had insurance on my own and I am 38. I really am happy, God is Great, thanks to God and to my school for if it wasnt for God I never would have gotten through school and if it wasnt for my school I never could have passed because they have taught me what I needed to know. Stacy :yeah::yeah::cheers::thankya::grad:
  3. Thank you all for answering and for the support. I will let you all know on Thursday if I did actually pass. Today is just the long wait.....
  4. Hi, Just home now, I took my boards and I stopped at 75, I am very certain I passed, hope I am right but to me it wasnt that bad, I know tommorro I probably will be second guessing myself, but for now I think I passed I had alot of SATA questions and even them I now I was getting most right, I think. Gosh all this schooling for one test. I dont know what to do with all these books all around my house, of course I will have a nice library one day. Stacy
  5. It depends on your board of nursing, once mine got my transcript it took about a week.
  6. What do you all think of starting in psych? If I did this would it be the worst choice of my new nursing career? Thats what alot of people say....I like psych, why cant I just try the medical part in a few years why does it have to be now? Any thoughts would be helpful.
  7. After you finished school, how many weeks or months did you study for boards?
  8. Recieved my ATT email today, I too have been checking my email hourly especially since I knew the board of nursing had my transcript..... I will test on May 26, I hope I am ready I hope this is not too soon....I can always change the date, the next date available was June 1. I figure I can study all week and go for it.... When did you all figure it was the right time to test?
  9. Thanks for your time in writing such a long response. I guess I will continue to study the books I have been, I have the Lacharity book, and havent studied it at all but maybe I will pick that one up as well to study. Thanks for the response. Stacy:):dancgrp:
  10. Hi, Anyone tried the Virtual ATI with your own individual instructor to help you pass boards? I will be starting on Monday, just wondering if anyone else had tried it.
  11. I took the NCLEXPN this summer I was allowed to take it half way through my RN program and I studied RN material because thats all I had but I did buy 3 weeks of online study with the NCSBN. I thought that was alot of help and I plan to buy there when I take my NCLEXRN this summer. Good luck to you. Its seeemed pretty easy to me but I stressed about it for a long time, so I know how you feel. Good luck too you!
  12. Just wanted to tell you congrats you did it and you should be so proud. Your post actually got me crying with happiness because you do deserve it and you know I dont think anyone except another person who has gone through this actually knows what it really takes. Good luck to you in your career. Way to go
  13. Yes we need to know interventions signs and symptoms and all. I am just worried at first of how to firgue out what is what. I have never heard anyone one mention this or how hard this was going to be. Thanks for all the help msfb and fusster!!!
  14. Hi, We are going over this for two 4 hour days and after the first day I am totally lost. I get what they are saying find the rate then rhythm are there PR interval and all this, its just I can figure all that out I just can figure out what the interpretation is. Is this the hardest I have found in nursing school and I cant seem to wrap my mind around it. Our test on this is 9-22. Is there any book I will buy now or anything at all that will help me with this. I am desperate, I studied about 6 hours today and am still clueless. Thanks Stacy
  15. Dont worry about the PN, I took it on July 17 and I knew at about question 50 that I would pass. When I left I knew I had passed. The test stopped at 85 and it wasnt that hard. I did study about 2000 questions the 3 weeks before. My advice to anyone, I think I worried too much, so dont worry, you went to school and made it through, you have the info in your head and you can pass. Good luck too you! :nuke:
  16. Hey when did you all find out results? Anyone before 48 hours or is it exactly 48 hours from the time your test ended? The wait is killing me. I am constantly checking and its only been about 24 hours and to wait through the weekend would be very hard. Thanks Stacy
  17. You know that is just what I am doing second guessing myself and looking up answers and it is torcher. I will take your advice and Let it Go...... Thanks for your responses, I was so very confident at first and now am not so much especially when I found that one question was wrong that they gave me again and guessed wrong again, that makes me worried. It seems to give you the ones you get wrong again it happen to me twice.
  18. Is that a good thing that I got 11 SATA questions? I am thinking it is but not sure if I remember correctly that it is. I am starting to look up questions and see what ones I thought I had right I actually got wrong.......Monday will be a long wait.
  19. Well I finished with 85 questions. I had 11 SATA and 3 math and I felt when I was in the 50's very confident that I had passed and to me it was pretty easy and I am so happy even though they said it would be Monday before I find out (two business days). Well I am just grateful to my RN program for preparing me enough the last year to take an equivalency for the PN and I am grateful to them because they are teaching me what I need to know. I am also very confident on passing RN next summer. I feel good all around and guess thats weird because most people walk out thinking they failed. Guess I am the lucky. Thank you Jesus. :nuke:
  20. After studing Kaplan PN Qbank and NCSBN (PN) and Saunders RN content I hope I am ready. Right now I am trying to finish the NCSBN before my children wake up. I think the NCSBN is pretty good with test tips when you read if the answer is right or wrong. Well I guess I will see soon how good. I am tired of studing just want it to be over for a few weeks anyways go back to school Aug 18 (last year of RN program). I just want 2 or 3 weeks break. Wish me luck. Stacy
  21. Sounds like you probably passed, I bet your glad its over. Let us know your results when you get them :).
  22. Thanks for giving me more confidence because this qbank is hard, I am getting high 50's to mid 60's and average 61 kinda depressing especially when I am testing on Thursday. But you saying that Nclex was easier really makes me feel a little better.
  23. Hey for the math questions do they give you any scrap paper and a pencil to work it out. I Know that they have a caculator but I have to see it worked out. Also does the Kaplan PN Q bank help? I have been doing that for the last week. Anyways CONGRATS!! to you:yeah: thanks so much for answering me back. Stacy
  24. I just got my ATT and scheduled for July 17 at 2pm. I am about to have respiratory alkalosis! (hyperventilating) Anyways I hope I am doing the right thing. The other date I could have had would be on July 30 but I dont think I will be anymore prepared. I might buy NCSBN tommorro and do that but please God help me, I am half way through my RN program and in Oklahoma they let you test for LPN if you want and I just hope I am doing the right thing. I am so scared. Any advice or suggestions I just hope I made the right choice. Anyone who is out there and has taken the PN Nclex tell me is it really really that bad. To me these study questions seem like they are pretty hard. I am doing Kaplan PN and getting 63's on average and I am doing Sauders RN content because thats the book I have from my RN program. Well any advise or anything to ease my mind will help. Thanks Stacy
  25. I would like to know the same thing. I was thinking on ordering the NCSBN. What do you think about it for the PN?
