Hello, I have a question? I am a lvn and during an interview I was informed I would be responsible for giving injections with Lidocaine in it to pediatric pts. I did not think that was in a lvns scope of practice. Does anyone out there have any info on this subject. I practice in California Thank You-Tropical bound

help with resume
I have a question ? Should your resume be written in the first or third person? Please inform me what is the correct form. I have recently spent a lot of money on hiring a professional to design my resume. I have not been happy with her work. She states that your resume should be written in the third person while I feel it should be written in the first person. The reply I recieved from her was that writting in the first person was old school. We also debated over placing license # on resume. I was informed by her that every resume she completed for nurses had license # on it. I recently found out through others that you should not place # on Resume. Thank You, Tropical Bound Thank You - Tropical bound

What do you think of agency LPNs?
Hello, I would not work in skilled facilities as a nurse as you are resented because you are making more money if you would work registry. I would work in homes for a registry in fact I am considering it at the moment. You have one on one care and usually pleasent working conditions. Take care-Tropical Bound

I think I blew my interview!
Hello, Dont worry about it. I have had a few interviews that did not go well and still was offered the position. I look at an interview as gaining knowledge as to what perspective employers might ask. Take Care tropical bound

Hello
Hi, I am a new member and wanted to say hi. I have been a LVN for three years. I am IV and bloodwithdrawel certified. I would like to add more certifications to my Resume. I am not sure which certification I should go for next. I understand there is a pharmacology certification available. Is their anyone who currently holds it? I live in California. Would employers recognize this certificate? As I am currently seeking employment and need my resume to stand out. Are there any certifications you can get for wound care? Hope to hear from you. Thanks, tropical bound
