  1. Thanks, Yet, I'm still confused and need clarification since some of my friends say that LVN can work in dialysis while the other ones say No, LVN can not work in dialysis. Which one is correct?
  2. Happy Summer Time! Since there are few "segregations" in Nursing scope of practices, I just wander if an LVN is allowed to go to certain additional certifications such as a dialysis cert.. I hope it is allowed. If so, then, there might be a different salary between RN dialysis certified VS LVN dialysis certified; even though the job descriptions are all about the same....am I right? Anyone has information about training centers/schools of Dialysis Certification especially in Southern California? How long does it take for the training? How much...or paid training, maybe? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  3. "exhibit" question (a table with lab values and cxr results). Szelda, what's "exhibit" question really mean; can u give me kindda example along with lab values questions, please? Thx a lot!
  4. By the way, do you have any fill in the blank questions? Or Math questions?
  5. Thanks, dear The Commuter for the information as well as the clarifications. So now the "attractive" numbers here are no longer about 50% nor 95%, but 80% ...... ....as TheCommuter informs us that "80 percent of people pass on the first attempt." What an encouraging statement! What a challenge! I hope this 80% figure shall raise up our spirit in studying more, yet decreasing our nervousness at the same time. Oh yea. 80 percent pass. But not only that--->pass on the first attempt.
  6. ......ha .. haa.....I like the statement.....
  7. I have several nclex-related questions regarding the statement ... Some statements of #1: "Unlike standard nursing school exams, there is no grade on the nclex. The exam is set up so that both passers and failures tend to score around 50%." "What determines pass/fail is the level of difficulty where the student is hitting the 50% mark." "We aren't used to getting 50's on exams." And now my questions are, What is the 50% all about? Let's say the total questions are 100. Since the nclex uses the cat adaptive test, then, what's the significant about the 50% mark here? Anybody explained us about the 50's mark, please? Though it's scary, yet I still believe in the challenging 'unofficial statement' that suggests us that if you want to pass, you must have about 95%...... How about that?
  8. Thank you for your advice. By the way, in my case even worst here. When I was working, the director angrily called me and made some slander statements, which I can proof along with some witnesses to be 100% wrong. Finally, after the 5 minutes 'preaching' she suddenly asked me to clock off and sent me home. I was fired! What a sudden death for me! A couple hours later, however, I try to call her for some clarification. "I will call you" was the only reply of her. But the next day I came to her office much earlier in the morning. Since the dismissal letter was not made for me yet, I used to agree with her compromising for me to come back to work again. But a couple minutes later she asked me to sign a warning. But I totally refused to sign the false statements on the warning paper. And I have some co-workers as well as some other witnesses to proof that I just doing fine. So, because the administration already attacked me with some dangerous libel statements in the name of "warning Paper", I chose to do a walked out. This is the point when my case become more and more complicated. TheV, The pre-plaintiff. Fresno California
  9. Help me please... I am now a good candidate for taking the NCLEX-PN and already have my own Authorization To Test [ATT]. Now what's happening in my workplace--in Fresno area--is, the director as well as the nurse was attacked me with a slander, verbal defamation then asked me to sign a warning paper. Of course I refused to sign that libel. Unfortunately, the administration just fired me for something I didn't do, believe it or not. To keep silent will only worsening my reputation and giving them approval that their attitude was not wrong to me. My big concern now is, if I file a lawsuit to sue the facility today, is this gonna cancel my way to take the NCLEX-PN test next month? The worst scenario: In case I failed to pass my very first NCLEX test [hopefully not failed] next month, will the Board cancelled my existing eligibility to take the same test just because of my brand new litigation?...and I will no longer considered as a candidate for the same test until I finish all of my lawsuit? Any useful information and experiences would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, TheV, the pre-plaintiff. Fresno California
