  1. Your welcome. It's was pretty good considering its been 4 years since I've been in a classroom. Wish me luck! Lol
  2. The one in Southern New Jersey closed. I'm attending the one in NYC. It is my understanding that all their credits are transferable to the BSN programs they have articulation agreements with. "The College has articulation agreements with the following baccalaureate nursing programs: College of Mount St. Vincent, Riverdale, NY; College of New Rochelle, New Rochelle, NY; Dominican College of Blauvelt, Blauvelt, NY; Herbert H. Lehman College, Bronx, NY; Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, Brookville, NY; Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn, NY; Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY; Pace University, NYC and Pleasantville, NY; and SUNY Institute of Technology, Utica, NY."
  3. hey roxy, i'm currently a veeb student and in my opinion i think they do that to weed out the people that aren't that serious about joining the program. it's an intense program designed (imo) for those determined to become lpns in 11 months lol. to be honest there really isn't anytime to fool around with people who are not sure. its a very fast-paced curriculum, you have to be extremely committed to succeeding in the program to be successful. if you do decide to spend the money and get accepted, it will be money well spent. its a very good program...tough but doable. they are definitely worth every penny. good luck! -pinkdove
  4. I'm 32 married with 2 year old twins and will be starting an 11 month LPN program next month. I plan on going on to an LPN to RN program after graduation.
  5. Just bumping to keep us in the game!;)
  6. OMG... I didn't know they had to make the deposit too! WOW and they still KEEP the $200! What confuses me is, that they have some people that did pass on a waiting list. If you look a couple of pages back there is a post from a woman that passed and is still waiting for an acceptance letter! It's obvious this "remedial" course is a Cash Cow for them... They know it's not going to be easy for people that didn't do well on the first test to score an 80 on an even harder test! Meanwhile, others that actually did pass are sitting by the mailbox awaiting an acceptance letter!
  7. so it's safe to assume most don't get in... if someone already had a problem passing the first test. why take their $$$ just to in turn give them a harder test and require them to pass with a higher score?????? sounds more like a scam than anything else!
  8. Hey Trini! Thanks for the info! Wow... That is a lot for the first test! :smackingf I see this is going to be a very looooong 11 months!
  9. Your absolutely right about staying connected, especially since the three of us are aiming for the same GOAL (HF)! If were lucking maybe we'll be in the same group and can form a study group! Based on Trini's posts that's the best way to maintain that coveted 85! As far as the "Source" goes..... As long as the Horse keeps talking, I don't need to know it's NAME! LOL! Keep the Info coming! Look forward to meeting you and Akanni at Orientation! I can't wait to get started on this new journey! It's going to be tough but the rewards will be abundant!
  10. I heard that about the RN program too.. We just have to STAY focused and STUDY, study, STUDY! I'm sure we'll make it through VEEB and beyond! And where are you and Dime getting all this inside info?? LOL
  11. Well I'll be... I thought the remedial classes were just a refresher course for those that didn't do so well on the extrance exam! Dime... Thanks for the info and keep us posted on that material.. i would love to take a look at it! Hey akanini What you been up to??
  12. I "heard" the reading material handed out at orientation is a list of conversions that we need to know like the back of our hands. We'll be tested on it not to long after classes begin.... and throughout the program. Got the info from a current student i met on the day i went in for the physical exam.
  13. Thanks for the Info... TriniAngel! Wow... A 92 average is excellent! What are your plans after graduation?? Are you going to continue to RN or Work?? Also, could you provide us with a list of the required & recommended books.. if you can??? Thanks again!
