LPN travel nursing
onfire...you need at least a years experience to travel with a good company that is...with med surg you can travel with almost any company...but if you specialize than look for a company that specializes but most company dabble in most all...i'm a little surprised your having trouble getting on med surg but anything in the hospital setting would work...good luck and best wishes...

struggling with learning the dialysis job
I've been in dialysis for about 8 years and still remember the first 6 months...nightmare....I've also been a preceptor and as such would suggest you write out all procedures...that will help you remember it better...just be patient with yourself it will come in time...ask ask ask if your not sure of something...good luck...

help for new adon
:bugeyes:Hi all, I'm an LPN for 15 years just took a job as adon in a ltc facility. any advise out their for me. I'll admitt I'm a little nervous. I've done alot of different kinds of nursing including lpn charge in LTC and DON for a assisted living. But not really sure what I'll be doing even after DON gave me a list. The list didn't really sound like much to me, yet confusing. Please any advise will be appreciated.

LPN travel nursing
:typingI am an Lpn and have been traveling for about a year and a half...It is great and it's bad...same as any other job...depending on your expertise will depend on which company...I am a dialysis nurse so I use a company that specializes in that...if you have the company get your apartment make sure you let them know security is priority...just go into the job with an open mind and as they say when in Rome...as soon as the other employees see your willing to work they will help you get along...and never discuss what you make...I've seen some do this and they are treated badly by the other staff...good luck and if i can help would be glad to...leave a post and i'll give you my email...:nuke:

need advise
I have a friend who is a traveler who asked my advise and I haven't a clue. Please help if you can. She received her license in a compact state but didn't live there and she started traveling and thought she had a cosmpact license but didn't. The travel agency she worked for didn't catch it either. She left as soon as she found out but what should she do. Please any advise will be appreciated...thanks
