Has anyone out there tried the travel nurse thing as an LPN? I'm thinking about it and would like to hear some other folks experiences first. I realize there are many more travel opps for RN (which I am currently working on thru distance learning). I'm having a hard time making ends meet on my LPN salary and also paying for school. The agency I'm talking to is quoting twice what I make. But I want to know the real scoop from someone who's done it. Anybody?
  2. I thought that school closed years ago. It used to be a 3-year "diploma" RN program as I understand it with lots of hands-on. Is that still the case or have they started something new? I live in Atlanta metro. What used to be Georgia Baptist is now Atlanta Medical, right?
  3. The nurses on my floor who have been there a few years say that just before a patient dies (sometimes, but not in every case) a little girl is seen walking down the hall -- same little girl every time. She never changes or gets older with the years. She just looks like she's there visiting somebody. So, maybe these nurses are seeing an angel. Or . . . maybe they're all hallucinating. I suspect it's a common occurrence with the overworked, underpaid and sometimes unappreciated. We just might be going around the bend.
