I wasn't sure if the trick would work, but I tried it yesterday and it gave me the pop up message everyone is talking about-I was very relieved. I took the NCLEX-RN on Thursday, July 2 and this morning my name showed up on the California license verification page. The first time all I did was Hurst Review, I took 77Q and failed. The only section that I passed was pharmacology. The second time around I did Kaplan. I took 75Q and passed I found that Kaplan did a better job to prepare me, personally for this exam, it did a neater job of dividing and covering all of the relevant topics needed to succeed in the NCLEX. The Course Book was wonderful, not only that but the question trainers, the question bank and the videos explaining each topic and going over the the additional questions patiently, were also great help. If you decide to go for Kaplan make sure to read over each rationale, and take notes divided by section type. Kaplan was all I did. The day before just listen to the videos and the way that the reviewers think and choose answers, it will stick with you, I found myself talking like them while I was eliminating some answers. This time around it seemed like a totally different exam, I had a heck of a lot more SATA, I knew what section the questions pertained to, I had so many drugs that I had not heard of, and some drag and drop. I took my sweet time, every 20 questions I took a break, and prayed to God to carry me in his arms through this journey and sure enough when I got back to the exam a familiar topic would pop up. Twenty four hours before, after realizing there was no way to go back and change my exam date, I started shaking, and broke down and cried!!! My mom and son (seven years old) stopped by while I was facing my crisis at Panera's (wonderful place to study), where they had joined me for lunch. My mom and son prayed for me and their prayers made me feel better. :yeah:Congratulations to all of those that have passed, the pearson vue trick worked for me, keep God and family in your heart, and if you did not pass, try Kaplan it is worth the investment. I agree, at least I will start reviewing my Hurst material again. And yes, we both took the exam here in CA.

I can't understand what takes them so long. Just heard from a classmate today that he actually waited two and half weeks to see his name on the website, actually someone else saw his name and gave him a call, because he had given up looking on that darn site. It's not fair that some people find out within two days while others are left to suffer for many long weeks. The waiting period is painful.

Hello, I am still waiting as well, I took my exam on 2/13. I had 78 questions, mostly priority, infection control with some meds. Most of my classmates saw their names a couple of days after taking the exam, I have heard anywhere from 2-6 business days. I read a post from a member whose name did not appear on the BRN website until three weeks after she took her exam (so at least this should be a little inspiring). She received her license on the week that she saw her name on the website. I believe she was Kameeli03. I will keep you posted with my results. I am glad that I am not the only one going through this miserably long wait. Anyways, lets keep hopeful and pray to God that we pass (I guess I am now in the bargaining phase, at least for now) The wait is killing me, I hate how I automatically wake up at 3:30am to check the dreaded website, only to be rejected, it feels awful. I have been trying to do other things to get distracted. I have been going to the gym more often, and have lost more than ten pounds, woo hoo. I have been reading your posts and want you to know, at least, that you are definitely not alone.

Hello, I'm still waiting as well. I took my exam on 2/13/09 and my name is still not up on the California BRN website. My friend took it the same day/location and we found her name on the website yesterday morning, boy is she lucky. Some of my other classmates waited as long as 4 business days, they took it on Monday and found out Friday morning. I just have one other question to add to this thread: I wonder if not having an interim permit affects the amount of time it takes to issue a license...if anyone has any idea please post. I took my boards in California on 2/13/09 and I still can't find my name on the BRN website. I took the exam on the same day as one of my friends, we found her name yesterday morning. I heard that they update around 3am on certain days, so I'll be up again looking, looking, looking...I feel like I'm wasting away . I even called them to make sure that my file was complete, and it is. I need lots of prayers. I'll keep you guys posted. Did anyone have problems getting the sections they wanted? I was really bummed, I didn't get any of the sections I wanted My registration time was at 4pm, did anybody else have problems? I wonder if they'll open up a few more spots in the morning sections.
