  1. Hello! I am currently in the Cy-Fair nursing program I started in August. Good luck to all that applied and don't worry they do take a while to send the letters. The best advice I can give so far considering it has only been one month is time management and organization. If you do not have to work then don't. It is alot of work and I will not lie it is challenging but it can be done! Just hang in there and good luck!
  2. I will be working full time and maybe taking a trip to Dominican Republic w/ my family and hubby. I want to really enjoy this summer because coming Fall I will start nursing school!:yelclap:
  3. Cy-Fair College in Katy, Texas, they do not keep a waiting list you have to reapply. They base it on your GPA for prereq's and the nursing entrance test and only 50 are accepted in the fall and I am not sure how many in Spring.
  4. :balloons: Congrats! I start the nursing at Cyfair in fall too! So we are the newbies! From what I have read and heard organization is the key and time management in nursing school. We will find out everything in June at orientation, so lets hang in there enjoy our summer because starting Fall we will be fully dedicated and busy w/ school. I also agree that if you still have some prereqs to take then do so this summer! Congrats!
  5. Personally, I have worked all through my pre req's full time at a doctors office as a CMA taking 2-3 classes at a time and I have done great. It all depends on your time management. However, I was unmarried then and now I am married and will start nursing school in the Fall and I have chosen not to work my DH prefers that I don't as well. Nursing school is hard and time consuming and I honestly rather concentrate on studying, but if they can work more than 20hrs and still manage to do well in nursing school then that is great!
