Thanks. i drove all the way to bay area just for the interview. why would they bother to interview knowing my experience in the first place? Hiring nurses based on their experience so frustrating for new nurses like me. Skills can be learn from day to day work. procedures and diagnosis can easily be read. Having more experienced for me doesn't make a nurse better. It's how motivated a nurse and caring a he/she is. that pt would remeber a nurse's name after a week of not seein' him. "Thank god" you'll be my nurse today. That for me is a great nurse. You may be a nurse for 20 years but patient don't like you. All you do is pass meds and chart and plan to make more money. Care is the main essence of nursing. I'm not hater. just making a point here.

If a certain hospital is known to hire Travel nurses (John Muir), how can a 7 month old RN get the job? I had an interview 3 days ago and currently anxious if i was chosen. Bay Area is tough place to find a job. I am from san francisco but forced to look for a nursing job here in arizona due to tough competition. If ever i didn't get it, just wonderin' why would a hospital hire travel nurses instead of core aspiring nurses...my co nurses here who are travelers got an assignment to John Muir so i decided to apply again now i do have some experience. What are my chances? thanks guys...

congrats yajrn... r u from cali? how long does it take you to get ur results.. just really anxious if there's still a chance for me to get a good news thru mail after almost 4 weeks of waiting.. i do have a ss#... asked them if there's a problem with my file.. negative.. everthing's there. what's the holdup???

yes tinamexdoll, i gave my ss# my fille # checked my add if they got it right..told them when i took the exam, still no luck..

i guess thats a good sign..tinamexdoll. how come when i get to ask them about my result, they keep sayin' they still dont have it. even asked them when are they planning to mail it still the same response, no results yet.. i wonder if its true. i took mine in San Francisco Peason Center. will this matter???

sorry to hear that wdiehl... seems like everyone that's been waiting for their results longer than the 10 day average waiting time are gettin' bad news.. gosh.. maybe im also wating for a bad one... took mine 3/29. stopped at 75... no posting on the web. called the bon several times already and they keep sayin they really dont have my results yet. how can that be possible???they still don't have it.. guess i should prepare myself for something..... if ever i too fail.. it'll be really hard for me to digest.. i did everything, and i thought i did well in the exam.. i really do.. this one is really killin' me...

how true, that if you got math question you're not doin' good? i had one, on my 74th question then after that, another question which is somewhat easy was given to me. and then, its over.. what do you think guys. but i can be sure that last question i got it right... and a lot of pharma questions drugs never heard before during the final stretch.. around 67-73. god are those questions the east ones. coz, whenever i get prioritization questions i'm pretty much confident (85%) how i answered them. the thing is im not gettin' like a lot of it. 4 straight prioritization didn't happen to me. i find those objective type of questions harder..
