  1. The hospital where I have clinicals policy is to never give over 12.5 of Promethazine, and to always dilute with 10 mls of NS. It also helps to administer the phenergan in the furthest port from the patient, this makes it go in even slower. I've seen people lose fingers from phenergan, it's too bad physicians can't order more PO...at least for those patients with the nausea without vomiting.
  2. I too have the oppourtunity to attend a live Hurst review, and I am still debating whether or not to...it seems like alot of money. I don't know if my employer will pay for it, it sounds like I should check that out.
  3. I would recommend Saunders NCLEX exam book, comfy shoes, a good stethoscope (Littman works well), scrubs with two big front pockets to hold stuff, index cards help me study, and overall motivation to learn! It really helps to find a small group to study with too.
  4. I too am graduating in May from a ADN program and am going to get my bachelors soon after. Although the pay isn't much more, I want to have more oppourtunities in my nursing career.
