  2. I am in cna program right now. And it's 6 months course, with 2 days a week for 3 hours each day.
  3. Thanks you for information.
  4. Thanks, for reply, but for doula, probably I will need more school. Right now, I work full-time, and have my classes 2 times a week, plus I have a 6 year old son. So it's hard for me even think about more school.
  5. I just had 2 classes this week. Really excited!!! I always wanted to help people, be useful. Couple years ago I was in a hospital with my friend when she was having her son. That day and night I was there with her, giving her massage, rubbing her legs, helping her in the bathroom. So, that day I understand that this is what I want to be-HELP PREGNANT WOMEN during delivery. I am going to finished school in couple months, hope to pass my exam, and start working as a CNA. Does anyone know, do cnas work in Labor and Delivery department? And is it really to find job there? Thanks:)
  6. Thank you for your reply. I'll try to contact nursing homes.
  7. Hi everybody. I am new here. The site is great, I found lots of useful info. I have a dilemma, maybe someone will give me an advice. I had my associate as a MA 3 years ago. All these 3 years I was working as a MA in private practice, but my dream was to work in hospital. I was sending out my resume to apply for medical assistant in different hospitals in NY. Unfortunately I didn't get any hospital position. The friend of mine, she is a RN, told me that if I get CNA, it will be much easier to get a job that I want. I looked online and found out that MA and CNA almost the same. I just don't want to pay $1500 and go for the same level of education. Maybe I am wrong, and CNA is more valueable that MA? Thank you.
