  1. You go girl! Honestly if I get it all together and start this program I will study with you anytime - online - One thing I have a reputation for is digging for answers - I make myself nuts - but If I have a questions I will find the answer - so a good pair we could make. You will be ahead of me of course - but if you get puzzled with something it will only help us all to help each other get through. Best of luck, hope to hear from you again. By the way it may be the goal of retiring that guides you to step over the ex and inso doing you just may re-invent yourself.
  2. It took me a while to find your guys but, here you are-- thank God! I have been posting all over the place here. I just found this site tonight and I am on the hunt for seasoned - or perhaps weathered by this point distance learning students. O.k somebody tell me what they think-- I am a brand new GPN - have not even taken my NClex- I am intending on doing my RN through excelsior- I have all classes except A&P and Micro- and the several nursing courses to do- please give me some advice - I did the LPN school with three small kids and I have a part time business. I managed straight B's- just could not devote any more time to try for those A's-- I am looking for work in the subacute area to get the clinical I need to pass the exam- I plan on taking a year to a year and a half to do this- give me some wise words- smart people I need all the help I can get! I ahve spoken to college net and I have spoken to Rue- and I have the material fomr Excelsior-- my thoughts were this- I like the idea od a condensed book- but what if I need more- which is usually how I am- so I thought I am going to need text books anyway and I should go direct to Excelsior- the problem I have, I can not get anyone of these institutions to give me stats in passing or failing the clinical - I do not have money to waste- I need to have some sense that I can do this. can I Have a success story please!!! Or a warning -- Thanks to you all
  3. How is the Excelsior thing working for you-- and congrats for being motivated and daring- being mom's, working, studying-- hats off to you for your courage!
