i just completed my first assignment and i can totally relate to your fears. i actually found it easy to make friends w/ staff, and if your going to a facility where there are alot of travelers you meet people of all ages and interests that are in the same boat. put yourself out there. i met a couple girls on this assignment who are now very good friends..we actually plan on traveling together soon....but if your havin a hard time go to delphiforums.com and register. on there you can post threads like these for other nurses in your area and see who responds, usually these people are traveling alone and want to go explore! it will take time to adjust, and in the beginning can seem a lil lonely but give it time. you'll be mingling in no time!! good luck!

ive been looking in a specific area b/c ive love it here but need a new hospital. i think your right im just stressed due to not knowing whats gonna happen. i guess its my type A comin out. but thanks for you reply it makes me feel a lil better that im not lookin too soon. lets keep our fingers crossed!!!

Ok. So Maybe Im A Lil Impatient But Generally How Long Does It Take To Get An Interview W/ A Hospital?? On Average. Im Like 3 Weeks Out From My Start Date...thats Not Too Far Out Right To Get Interviews?

hellray is correct. im currently on assignment there and have been counting down since day one. i would not consider hellray for employment, especially for a new grad! that is unless of course you want to loose your license. ratios are 1:8 nights on telemetry and 1:6 on days. not so great! it is terribly unorganized and unsafe. do yourself a favor and keep looking!!!!
