  1. Where I work in ohio, we cover 11-7 with 2 scrubs 1 RN we have what we call e-call and c-call it is great. When you are on E_call you stay untill the shift working can handle the load for there shift c-call which is call from the end of there shift until 7 AM goes home to rest and is called in as needed we are a level one trama center and do not share call with other other hospitals. we do not have many people call off sick you have to take care of each other we do get call pay but it is not much. After we pick our call that is required we post on the board any thing that we want to trade or give away there is always some one wanting to pick up call hope this helps
  2. we set up two rooms same team one backup in the core after room turnover to set up the doc see's both patient pre-op of course if it is general not local we have another set of anesthesia
  3. in your or or even on your table it should say the weight If not ask If you are the circulating nurse it is up to you to stop the use of a unsafe product ex. bed the patient is asleep and you are there avicate
  4. dido, I think general is a good place to start. And I have to agree evenings is where you learn to depend on what you have learned. I work 7am to 7pm and take call most evenings until 11pm. I can promoise you is you get board eaisly you have just landed a job you will never get board with you will learn and then learn more it is awsome. I do general, trama, transpants, nero, and I love it all
