  1. Hey, I agree with the other poster about not giving him any more money and forcing him to be a man. There is a show on T.V. called Intervention on the A@E channel. I dont know if this is a possibilty, but I know they really help some of those people. There are a lot of programs out there, you just have to find them. I hope this info. helps! Oh by the way, I have siblings that do the same things and they are now 40+ years old and they are not any better. They were also enabled by my mother, who has now said enough is enough. Only trouble is, it is too late for them, they dont know how to take responsibility for thier own actions, they have never had to. They LOVE to blame everyone, but never do they blame themselves. It is really sad actually. The key to getting help is wanting it, most dont want it because they do not think they have a problem. ( MY siblings dont anyway) So if your son is truly wanting help, he will try whatever program that is available to get that help! Good Luck!
  2. I have always heard that too about the verbal contract thing however let me tell you a verbal contract is not worth the paper it is wrote on! And that is a fact!
  3. Alot is going to depend on your hospital policy, but at my hospital an incident report is filled out and if no harm is done to patient then the incident report becomes a part of your file. If harm was done to patient then you would be in jepordy of being fired and or loss or suspension of license. However with it being ancef and only one dose missed, i feel that a incident report would be more likely to happen. Hope this helps!
  4. I have one year experience and I work in a small hospital. I work the ER, and the med surg floor its all on one level ER on one end and the med surg on the other end and the nurses station is in the middle. ER is my passion, but I am glad that I get to work med surg too. When my patients are admitted from the ER I admit them to med surg and take care of them there too. The experienc that you will get in the med surg unit will great. You probably will not enjoy it like you would in a specialty unit, but you will def. be able to use your experiece you gain in your specialty and glad that you did. Hope this helps!
  5. What exactly are you asking. I dont understand your question fully!
  6. :studyowl: Hey you will be fine just remember what you learned in your review. The reviews are wonderful tools to help you. However, remember you can study too much. I took 1 hour a day to answer practice questions. The night before the test only review your main meds and put the books down. Have a nice dinner out and a glass of wine. Go to bed early and remember you can do it!
