  1. Hi everyone, I'm having a hard time finding definitive info. on this career option. I've been researching for a couple days and have found the following: The SANE test will give me certification as a forensic nurse, and there are several degrees for "forensic examiner" paths of education. Can I really get a job and be a "forensic nurse" just after the SANE certification test? It seems way too simple. I'm also waiting to here back from the Int'l. Assoc. of Forensic Nursing. Any info. in the mean time? Thanks:nurse:
  2. Unfortunately, I don't remember. I put my application in over 3 years ago. I'm pretty sure it was 2.5 then, and I know they were going to raise it when I was leaving. It's got to be a 2.75 or maybe a 3.0. But I don't know for sure. Sorry I can't be more help. Good luck.

Thank you all very much, I'm still in shock. YEAH!!!:yelclap:
  4. :balloons: OH MY GOSH!!! I can't believe I'm a RN!! :balloons: I took the NCLEX Tuesday and it shut off at 75. And now I'm a nurse, I'm so thrilled to be a part of this amazing profession. Thanks for everyones support on this fantastic website. For anyone waiting on results, or waiting to take the NCLEX, I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Stay positive, you can do it!! :balloons::balloons::lol2::lol2::lol2::balloons::balloons:
  5. I'm glad to help you anytime. You can actually private e-mail me if you have any questions. I check that more often. Good luck!
  6. Hi sandycadet, I graduated from BCC central campus on Aug. 2. Believe me, there were hard times, but it is a great school and program. I agree about the horror stories, they are just stories. Some teachers are harder than others, but in my experience, they all really want you to do well and to be a GREAT nurse. I just took my NCLEX this morning, and I know BCC has a high pass rate. I'll let you know Thursday if I added to their good track record. Best of luck to you, keep studying, you'll make it!!
  7. Thank you all so much for all of your kind words and encouragement. I took it this morning and, literally, my head is still spinning. It shut off at 75 questions and it seemed like I had taken 150. I'm nervous, anxious, excited and ready to hurl;)...we'll see Thursday. rn2bmaria...Good luck to you, it sounds like you're very determined to succeed, and I think that's enough to do anything! I'll let you all know Thursday morning.
  8. Hi, I'm not sure yet, I'm taking mine on Tuesday:uhoh21:, and I too have been having the nausea. But, if it comforts you, all of my friends and I aren't scoring as high on these practice tests as we did in school either. I'll let you know on thursday or friday if it matters. Good luck to you.
  9. Hi everyone, I'm stressing out. I graduated on August 2nd and have been studying at least 5 days a week. I just got my ATT on Friday, as in 2 days ago, and the only appointments were October or this Tuesday. I took Tuesday. I really feel as ready as I can be, but I'm kind of freaking out.:uhoh21: I just have some last minute questions for anyone who has taken it: 1. Did anyone get sooo many more peds questions than they thought they would get? 2. The lab values questions that I have been practicing have 3 normal and 1 abnormal value, is that the same on the NCLEX? 3. And lastly, did anyone get more than 1 or 2 questions related to fluids and electrolytes and ECG changes? I think that just knowing the answers to these questions will magically make me feel all better:lol2: Thanks a bunch.
  10. CONGRATULATIONS RN !!! :balloons: Thanks for the tip.
  11. Hi everyone, I see that most people agree that Saunders is a great resource for the NCLEX RN, but does anyone know if the Saunders Q&A review has the same questions as the ones at the end of the review sections in the comprehensive book? I'm just debating buying ANOTHER book, but I have no hesitation if everyone agrees it's a must have. Thanks.:studyowl:
  12. CONGRATS!!! That's so exciting, what a huge relief I'm waiting for my ATT anyday now, and I was wondering if you could tell me what Suzanne's tips are? I have Saunders and a few other books and I'm doing between 50-100 questions a day, and reviewing material that I'm having trouble with. What were her suggestions that you think made a big difference for you? I'd appreciate any help.....and CONGRATULATIONS again...RN...YEAH!
  13. Yeah, I think I understand the questions okay, I guess I'm just more overwhelmed than I thought I'd be. But I know I'll be fine. Thanks.
  14. I should be taking them in mid-September. I just sent my app. to the state last week. Thank you very much for the advice, that does make me feel better. Good luck on your test, you sound like you'll do great. You'll be a :nurse:before you know it.
  15. Hi, I'm trying to study for the NCLEX, but so far it's been mostly frustration. I feel like I don't know nearly as much as I should and I'm not even getting 75% on all my tests. I keep jumping around from subject to subject, even though I have a schedule to follow. Is this overwhelming feeling normal? And most importantly does it pass? (I just started studying this week.)
