my nclex is scheduled on 19 oct. i'll be taking it here in eagan, minnesota. wish me luck guys! any tips from the recent examinees? hehehe...

i encountered many "choose all that apply" med questions. i also felt bad after the test because it was so long and hard. and after reading some encouraging posts here, it livened my spirits. also don't forget to pray.

where do you plan to study? i'm also considering the idea of pursuing a BSN degree next school year. wanna be nurse din ako but 35++. hehehe...

there's also a hotel very near the testing center. just behind the makati central post office. forgot the name tho'. walking distance pa to trident bldg.

forexinegirl - just a piece of advise...don't take the airport coupon taxi. they charge a zonal fare regardless if your destination is near. btw, what airline are you taking? if you're taking PAL you might have a hard time getting a metered taxi.

yah may bad...didn't do some research before i entered the program. anyway i still have plan C...pursue a nursing degree. i'll scout for a good nursing school once i return to the phils. for the meantime, i'm in vacation mode.

just pursue the nclex-rn honey. like what lawrence said, we won't be able to land a job here.

since PN is a vocational course, it is TESDA who regulates them. and TESDA is a gov't regulating agency. you can verify with them if the school offering PN is accredited. i had balikbayan schoolmates too and the reasonwhy they took it in the phils...

you're wrong. i took up PN in the philippines, took recently and passed the nclex-pn. if it was not recognized in the US, the board of nursing will NOT make you eligible then. just my 3 cents...

yes i'm aware that foreign educated PN's are only allowed to have an H2B visa (working). what i meant by change of status if from tourist to working since i'm already in the US.

i used kaplan, lipincott and saunders. among the 3, saunders was most helpful.

thanks guys! i was also surprised the quick results was out sun morning considering that i took the test last fri only. but nonetheless, that is only the first step. looking for a job and changing my visa status are my next problems(?). thanks again ...
