  1. Periwinkle... I did receive your msg via email. You have to excuse my lack of knowledge and navigation for this website. I'm new. :) Thank You for the information. So, are you currently working as an esthetician? Which school did you attend and what was the cost for tuition?
  2. More about the pay factor. What is the going rate for experienced icu rn in souther CA compared the the bay area? What about doing per diem with a hospital (ie UCSF, UCSD)?
  3. I know people who have worked at Mayo, and besides the wearing white factor...they hated it!! I guess that Mayo places themselves above anyone, and their rationale for everything is "Its the Mayo way of doing it". And Scottsdale Healthcare...better, but still would not work at either one. There are many other better hospitals in the valley, believe me!
  4. Not sure which JCL you are referring to. There is a "North Mountain" JCL, but it is not the most north JCL, "Deer Vally" is. Same system, but different hospital. Have worked both. And if you are going to North Mtn....do not live in the neighborhood, very dangerous. But the area at Deer Valley is much safer.
  5. I am not an esthetician but am very interested in the field. I was looking into becomming Botox and Restyline certified and try to get a job with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Do you have any schooling suggestions? I have a friend who is taking classes locally, but I have also seen 8 hour courses elsewhere for certification. I was just wondering if it is a flourishing career choice...and if so, would I have to work under a physician or could I open my own clinic?
  6. I live in N. Scottsdale and LOVE it! I like the area, its very clean and pretty, and yes, very snottyas well. There are great places to go out and eat, but not sure if it is worth the commute to be honest. You will get very tired of the other drivers on the road; fyi Phoenix has the MOST dangerous roads in the US, lots of accidents, lots of uninsured drivers...so maybe get a place in Glendale, and if you decided to take another assignment here, then maybe see if it is worth moving then

Worked with HRN in Seattle. Utter nightmare!! I had moved there for a short time and they were not up front with me. I was adveraging 1 shift/wk....and I had no other income. Would work Seattle again (great hospitals), but not with HRN.
  8. Worked with Favorite out of Denver. I was able to get my hours no problem and I was only orientated to 3 of the hospitals at the time. There are always going to be problems with each registry and each office is different.
  9. I work IN AZ as agency/registry and pay varies 40-50/hr. But the need for registry staff has slowed up signifigantly this winter. Unusual for AZ. Was wondering about registry pay and names of registries in Southern CA, Bay Area CA, Dallas TX, Portland OR, or any from the compact states. Thanks:)
