Hello, I am from the North Texas area, about 50 miles straight north of Dallas. Have you ever been to Lake Texoma? I am about 15 miles from the Oklahoma/Texas border. I am working in Dialysis in the Dallas area.

I went to the CDC page and couln't find the free CEU on Bioterrorism. I too am a Texas nurse looking for any free CEU's that meet the requirment for Texas nurses....did you find any??? Thanks, jilpil3

Thanks for replying to my question. I work in Acute Dialysis. We use dry packs all the time. I worked for Davita and now work for Freesinus I was taught by Freesinus to give heparin up front via the access, well this doesn't seem to do the trick my patients still clot off at the end of the treatment. I think maybe I still have a few things to learn about Freesinus machines. Thanks, jilpil3

What do you mean "heparenis" your dialyzer??? I was working with machines that had a heparin pump and we would give 2-3ml bolus of heparin at the beginning before pt was put on then they got 1-2ml an hour during the tx. Now I am working at a different company and they give heparin bolus up front IVP via the access. I have been having trouble with my lines clotting even though I am giving NS bolus.

I am facing an issue with the board, I was in TPAPN and they kicked me out because I had a positive drug screen for Darvocet....I had a prescription but that didn't matter any how I have been turned in to the board and just recieved my letter I have 30 days to respond and would like to have an attorney help me Can you recommend a attorney or how to find one???? Help!!!!

Does anyone know how to find a attorney to represent you with issues to Board of Nursing?

Does anyone have a simple one page acuity sheet? I doubt it will change our staffing but we only have a 4-5 page booklet for rating patients, which is not realistic. Any help would be great. jilpil3
