Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
I took the nclex at 2pm today and got 75 questions. I just did the "trick" and it showed me the good pop up. I really hope that means I passed!!! That test was laughable....the meds I was asked about I had never even heard of. Did I mention the enormous amount of SATA questions??? Yikes!!!!! *crossing my fingers I truly passed*

Is it normal for Sociology class to have 3/4's of the students getting D's and F's?
I had to laugh when I read this post. I had Sociology at NHCC back in Fall 2005 and am guessing the same instructor is still teaching. Honestly, I LOVED his lectures but his tests were TOUGH! We had 4 tests total and even though they were open book/open notes, they were some of the hardest tests I have ever taken. Just think, if you can pass through his class you can accomplish just about anything!

RN License questions regarding Bordering states
I, of course, already paid the money to get my RN license in MN. Today, I get calls from a few Iowa hospitals. I know that with the Border state recognition MN will allows nurses that work in IA, WI, ND, etc to work in MN but I am wondering if, as a MN licensed nurse, will I be able to work in Iowa? I tried finding info on the IA board of nursing site but couldn't find an answer. I left a voicemail but still no call back. The reason I am concerned is because I plan on living in MN while working in IA so I will have no IA address to do an endorsement (If I need to go that route). Anyone have any idea how this works? Thanks so much in advance! J

ACLS and/or EKG classes in MN?
As a nursing student graduating in 5 days, please do not even attempt ACLS yet. It won't do anything for you right now and you won't understand most of it. Many of the ACLS classes I found didn't even want you to take it unless you passed boards. If you still feel the need to take it: Most community colleges offer ACLS in their community education classes, most hospitals offer them, check american red cross, etc.

CNA state exam question
I asked the instructor but I think we all confused her with the question because she just kept responding "it needs to be within 6mm". So no clarity from her whatsoever, lol!

CNA state exam question
A friend of mine (who is also taking the test with me) and I have basically confused ourselves. We found out through the grapevine that one of the skills for the state exam this month is Blood Pressure. The book says you need to be within 6mm of the evaluators reading. Example: Evaluator got 114/82 , student got 110/78 Our question is....does the top number need to be within 6mm and also the bottom number need to be within 6mm? Or is it the difference (114-110=4, 82-78=4; 4+4=8) between the top and the difference between the bottom added together?
