  1. What happened with her plan? Why is it no longer available?
  2. The reason it recieved 10th ranking is because it is one of a few nurse practitioner program in the area. Most students and graduates of the Master program are not satified with their learning experience. The courses are on Black Board and are just a continuation of the undergraduate program, in fact not much of a difference. The faculty at Pace often complaint of their course load and received no job satifaction recogniton and are underpaid. The students are aware of this because they bear the brunt of their discord. The past five years Pace has lost many good instructors to other universities. Mercy College offers a very supportive nursing program both undergraduate and graduate. Again always reseach the insitution you are interested in. Go to the campus and ask the students about the program and faculty. Its your money and its an investment. Pace is very expensive for what you will receive. There are many other instutions that offer a superior learning experience, better development of clinical skils, and invovled adminstration and faculty.
  3. Where are these question trainers located?
  4. Yes, LaCharity, Kumagai, & Bartz is the right book and it does work.
  5. Please let us know how you do with Suzanne's study plan Best of Luck
  6. I am waiting for Suzanne's study plan if I PM her correctly (so confusing ),here is another resource that might help NCSBN Learning Extension at www.learningext.com NCSBN are the people who create the questions for the NCLEX Good Luck
  7. Yes, please reconsider Pace University. All of their nursing programs are inferior. Their pass rate for the NCLEX is around 60% for the four year program. For the Combined Degree Program it is higher, however the responsibilty of learning is entirely up to the student. The four year student will be stringed along untill the junior year then will fail out of the program. This is done for finanical reasons. The instructors are also inferior, and are highly subjectived in their grading. Yes they are also not available and will tell you to ask a classmate. Currently, the nursing program is the only profitable area for Pace University and that is the only reason it keeps the program.
  8. Sorry don't know where or what a stickie is. Thank you
  9. What is Suzanne's plan/program? How do you sign up for it?
  10. You don't mention the hospital. Why? I would like to know so when I am finished nursing school I will stay away from that facility.
  11. What are SATA questions?

  13. 367tank posted a topic in PICU, Pediatric
Can anyone explain the difference between the PCU and PICU? Is the PCU a stepdown from the PICU?
  14. Ok Please look into a possibe BSN when you are finished your RN course work. You have a 4 year degree which should count. I made a mistake by going into a BSN program at Pace University at $65,000.00 instead of a local community college RN program at $10,000.00. My undergrad in school counseling would have counted towards my BSN. Big difference. Please explore all your options while becoming a CNA. Tank
  15. Hi, Great time to change careers. Find a Nursing School that will recognize your undergrad work and will give you a BSN upon completion. Becoming a CNA while waiting for acceptance from the nursing nursing is a good approarch. It will provide clinical experience and exposure to the profession. What state do you reside in? If you are a New York down state resident look into Pace University. Tank:pumpiron:
