BEWARE: Pace University
The reason it recieved 10th ranking is because it is one of a few nurse practitioner program in the area. Most students and graduates of the Master program are not satified with their learning experience. The courses are on Black Board and are just a continuation of the undergraduate program, in fact not much of a difference. The faculty at Pace often complaint of their course load and received no job satifaction recogniton and are underpaid. The students are aware of this because they bear the brunt of their discord. The past five years Pace has lost many good instructors to other universities. Mercy College offers a very supportive nursing program both undergraduate and graduate. Again always reseach the insitution you are interested in. Go to the campus and ask the students about the program and faculty. Its your money and its an investment. Pace is very expensive for what you will receive. There are many other instutions that offer a superior learning experience, better development of clinical skils, and invovled adminstration and faculty.

BEWARE: Pace University
Yes, please reconsider Pace University. All of their nursing programs are inferior. Their pass rate for the NCLEX is around 60% for the four year program. For the Combined Degree Program it is higher, however the responsibilty of learning is entirely up to the student. The four year student will be stringed along untill the junior year then will fail out of the program. This is done for finanical reasons. The instructors are also inferior, and are highly subjectived in their grading. Yes they are also not available and will tell you to ask a classmate. Currently, the nursing program is the only profitable area for Pace University and that is the only reason it keeps the program.

Unethical Hiring Practices
You don't mention the hospital. Why? I would like to know so when I am finished nursing school I will stay away from that facility.

Calling All CNA's!
Ok Please look into a possibe BSN when you are finished your RN course work. You have a 4 year degree which should count. I made a mistake by going into a BSN program at Pace University at $65,000.00 instead of a local community college RN program at $10,000.00. My undergrad in school counseling would have counted towards my BSN. Big difference. Please explore all your options while becoming a CNA. Tank

Calling All CNA's!
Hi, Great time to change careers. Find a Nursing School that will recognize your undergrad work and will give you a BSN upon completion. Becoming a CNA while waiting for acceptance from the nursing nursing is a good approarch. It will provide clinical experience and exposure to the profession. What state do you reside in? If you are a New York down state resident look into Pace University. Tank:pumpiron:
