I completely agree. You're only going to get out of the program what you want to get out of it. Their primary focus is on paper writing and APA format. Utilize any and ALL resources that you have available to you, especially during clinicals. I'm in my second clinical of four, let me know if you need anything! Best of luck!

I'm a student in their FNP program. I do not feel as if there is much support, especially with finding preceptors. I've been trying to find a women's health preceptor for months! The struggle is real! Best of luck!!

ASU RN to BSN Online
I'm just finishing up the Death and Dying class online with ----. The class is pretty easy but I will say that it does require quite a bit of reading. I enjoyed the class a great deal. Best of luck to you!

hourly rate
I'd say that you're being paid quite well NICU RN....I don't recall the pay being that much higher than what he's already be paid in MI. I just moved from there and some of our senior nurses(20+ years) were only making around $35 an hour.

I am so excited
Congrats my friend! I'm so proud of you...and may I say...it's about damn time! Welcome to the life a crazed RN student!

St. Lukes Medical Center
Thank you for this helpful information. I had no idea! Funny thing is someone from Chandler Regional called to set up an interview for their CVICU today. So at least I'm getting somewhere! Thanks for the help, I'm definitely going to be more aggressive and see if I can get somewhere. I'll keep you posted. Enjoy the weekend!

St. Lukes Medical Center
I've done exactly that! I'm so frustrated right now. I've been applying to numerous hospitals and have had only a couple of calls. I don't know if it's because I'm still in MI or if they are looking for someone with more experience? I'm really just baffled. St. Lukes is the only hospital that's given me ANY positive feedback and they're not really close to where I'll be living. Close enough..but Mercy Gilbert would be closer and I've had NO luck with them or with Banner. Ugh...I'm just slightly angered by the whole process. I would like to think that most hospitals would at least call and interview before turning you down for a position. Funny thing is....that's not the case. I've applied for 5 or 6 positions at Banner and have been overlooked for each position. I didn't even get a phone call for an interview. What in the world are they looking for??? Sorry...I sound like I'm whining. I don't mean to...it's just the job market here in MI is much different. You can pretty much walk into any hospital and have job offers thrown at you. ESPECIALLY if you have at least 2 years experience. I'm hanging in there...just confused and disillusioned at the moment. I'll keep trying though. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that you're an ICU RN as well. Can you refer me to any good ICU's that are looking for RN's? I've been an ICU RN for the past 3 years and am relocated in about a week and a half. Thanks!

Anyone know anything about the ICU at St. Lukes? Or anything about the hospital period? Any help would be appreciated!

Attention Mayo Nurses...
I'm very interested in this hospital. I just applied for an ICU position that is posted. Does anyone know anything about their pay scale? Shift differentials? Weekend differentials etc? I'm moving from Michigan to AZ next month and am finding it difficult to pick a hospital to work at! There are so many choices in the Phoenix area. We're looking to move to the Gilbert area. Any help would be appreciated :bowingpur

Any Michigan NURSES here?
I'm an RN in SE Michigan as well. I've been an RN since Aug. 04. I currently work in the ICU in a local community hospital but it is part of a major hospital in the area. I love it most of the time...but am seeking a NICU position as that is where my nursing :redbeathe is Look forward to getting to know you! :typing
