I am sure this question has been asked so many times on this forum, then again, maybe not. I wanted to know if anyone could give me some ideas on how to study? I write my notes then read them then rewrite them *you know, for all the information I missed the first time* then read them again then read the chapter add to my notes and then I end up with about 13 pages of notes for that one chapter. We just did the Endocrine system and my exam is on the 27th. It will cover the Endocrine and Reproductive Systems. Any Advice?

Thanks, they really are. I think what made the difference for me was finding the joy in being in school. I got an 82.5 on my A&P exam today. I was so happy about that. Last time I took this class I failed. Right now I need a good medical dictionary.

I have wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. I have not gotten to the point of NS yet. Like most of you I have lost of money problems. I have to take classes as I can pay for them. I am currently doing A&P 1 and will do A&P 11 this fall. I will also try to take microbiology this fall. I am hoping to be in NS by the 09 date as well. I like the idea of charting out what I need to do. I will work on that today. I also like the idea of keeping in touch with each other to help out with progress. It can get pretty depressing sometimes.

I saw that many passed the summer session and that was good. I will be taking this in the fall. I tried it once and did not do so well. I have put it off until now. I must complete it. Just thinking about it makes me Well, anyone else taking it this fall? Lets keep in touch to see how well we all do with this class. :monkeydance:

I know just how you feel. I was in the same situation. I was so unhappy. I went to friends, family, and even people in my church. Alast no help there. I must pay off an old bill before I can get what I need. I have been paying out of my own pocket thus far. Do what I did so that you can start. :idea:Take one or two classes that you can pay for and get on a payment plan with the school. Yes, it will slow you down a bit but you will get to start and starting is the best part.

Hello everyone, Its been a while since I last visited. I had to stop school for a while and was so sad. I am back in school and will be giving it my all. I'm very busy with school. I am doing much better then I was. I rally seem to understand more and more. I'm making better grades in all my classes. School is hard as all get-out but also fun. I thank you all for your post to me I did take your advice and it worked. I hope to be starting NS in "09", I know it is taking me longer then most but I will successed. I have longed for this for to long to let it go now. :balloons:

I have not gotten to this point yet. I am so sorry that you failed but the advice I can give is keep trying. I know that if I fail I will try again. I work to hard to give up.

I’ve wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. I am in my second year of school and I don’t feel I am retaining anything. I don't know what will happen once I am in nursing school. I have only taken one semester of A&P and it was hard. Does this mean I am not equip for nursing? I have trouble with the words, although I seem to do well with my test I am still feeling like I'm the dumpiest in my class. My instructor said I am just being hard on myself and that all students go through this process. I will be starting organic chemistry next semester and I am terrified of that class. I put it off every time but now I need to complete it and do well in it. I am not sure what my question is but if you can understand what I am feeling and have some advice then I will welcome your comments. Thanks so much, this site is a big help to me it has so much information for learning.
