  1. Neurotic patient with severe ataxia along with behavioral problems...To get her way she pretends that she's sleeping, refuses to speak, and lays absolutely still while in bed...SHE'S not the problem her worse than neurotic HCS sister is...During one of these "temper tantrums" The sister comes flying out of the room rushes to the nurses station and screams "I want her to see the Dr. now or send her to the hospital, Rigor Mortis is starting to set in!"......WHAT!
  2. Firstborn...alcoholic, abusive dad....who i rarely speak to.
  3. Don't believe her it's a set-up then again I guess it just depends on what unit you work on....On our unit, Oncology it is STRICTLY enforced but then again our NM is by the book
  4. OMG! I can not believe that RNs only get $18.50/hr!!!! I live in FL and lpns get$21/hr....I came to this site to compare wages, because I plan on relocating, and let me just tell you it will not be to MS....The only reason I'm relocating is because I have wonderlust, Fl is beautiful, I just seem to get bored after a certain number of years.....I urge any young nurses w/o families or other obligations to explore and expand outside of MS
  5. Uniform policy--very strict no exceptions, the hospital is very big and that's the only way to discern who's who....Secondly I don't think you have to worry about floating from PEDS....have youever seen a picture of this place?? HUGE!!!....Winnie Palmer and Arnold Palmer are both dedicated solely to women and children they are right next to each other walking distance....You'll have your fair share of pts:o Not to mention Nemours clinic down the street---Good luck
  6. You better hurry and take the test!....my understanding is NY state board of nursing is changing their stance on RN students taking the test before completely school effective Jan07....it will no longer be allowed...check with your instructor to be sure but I am almost certain this is definite..good-luck
  7. I was born and raised in Clermont, moved away to the west coast after high school, moved back after a divorce and let me just say this...it's not the same town...overcrowded, overpriced, all of the hills have been leveled, or a house has been planted on top of them....TOO,TOO much traffic...must I go on?? The High school is WAY over crowded if you have teenagers, along with a facility that doesn't care about the kids(East Ridge High School) not so sure about South Lake High....I'm moving in 7 months just as soon as I finish RN program....the smart choice in the aponion of a native would be Mount Dora...It still has a small town feel to it and has access to Orlando just as Clermont does...also a better place to raise kids...Thank GOD I only have one child and don't have to worry about the school system after next year...GOOD LUCK
