  1. FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ THIS... CLARIFICATION STATEMENT OF CGFNS - faxed to PRC dated 11/01/06 "CGFNS does not believe at present time that all legal challenges (of NLE) have been fully and finaly resolved." "CGFNS emphasizes that it accepts and all respects the judgement of the Philippine courts and regards all licenses obtained following the June '06 exam as valid nursing licenses. CGFNS is required by US law, however, to make a judgement about whether June 06 LICENSURE PROCESS was comparable to that required for a US nurse."
  2. You place the what in what? I think the banana thing you do in the CHN thingy... The freezer?... I'm not so sure... Another placenta story... back when i was still a student... Had 5-7 charity mommies who were ready to go at the same time--- had their babies... you can imagine how hectic the DR was in this gov't hospital...when things settled down... it was found out that one of the mommies was a Moslem, asking for her placenta... and when the patient is a Moslem you have to give them the placenta... anyway, it ended up with the nurse's assistant digging into a vat of placentas and the Moslem mommy and the nurses not knowing if the placenta given to that patient, in layers of white plastic bag, was really the patient's... ewww.
  3. I guess its ok to take your NCLEX when you get there if, and ONLY if, you have been directly hired by the institution/hospital you intend to work in and they promise to take you under their wing as a trainee... but you have to pass the NCLEX in a given time period... A RECRUITMENT AGENCY CANNOT GIVE YOU THAT GOOD A DEAL..... Also you can't get this opportunity wihtout at least 2 years of hospital experience as a registered nurse...

  5. Anyway... correct me if I'm wrong... computation is done like this.... Highest Score Less LOwestScore divided by 2.... whatever the resulting score will get 75%... that is done per subject and everything is adjusted based on that... Making the padding of even more than 8points possible......................
  6. Just Thinking... Have These People Investigating These Aberrations Taken A Licensure Exam Administered By The Professional Regulatory Commission In Their Life?... Just Wanna Know... Coz If They Had They Know That Computations Are Subjected To Some Degree Of Manipulation... Not Just The Nursing Boards But The Cpa Boards And Other Boards Also... I Mean These Computations And Manipulations Are Discussed In Review Centers... How The Prc Comes Up With The Grades... I Have Taken The Cpa Boards, An Ex Has Taken An Engineering Licensure Exam, A Medical Exam And Several Relatives Have Taken The Nle... And The Computation Has Stayed The Same...its Not Even Like Its Illegal For The Prc To Do This... Its Included In Their Mandate. Prc Has Always Had This "discretion" They Say... Do People Actually Think That The Board Results Are Zero Based?... If That Were So, There Would Be Even More Casualties In All The Exams Administered By The Prc... Now, If These Manipulations Were Not Acceptable Then It Won't Be The Nle Of 2006 That Is Tainted By The System But All Previous Exams Of All Professions Regulated By The Prc Are In Question... So Are These People Pushing For A Retake Willing To Open That Pandora's Box And See It Through? If They Really Are These Outstanding People That They Say They Are Shouldn't They Fight This Through And Through... Because If They Just Focus On The June 2006 Nle Passers... Well, It Just Seems Too Convenient... Maybe My Cousin Deserved To Pass The Cpa Boards Last November 2001?!!!... Retake!!!... Just Kidding...
  7. Mr. Dante Ang is one of the major share holders of manila times... so it would do him well to post that bit of news and push for a retake... Anyway it just says it "could" and it would have been better to use the word "may" than "will" before the word "denied". Besides, I don't think Filipinos are ready for the NCLEX testing center. We keep ignoring the non-disclosure contract we sign on our first day of the professional boards anyway. Questions in the professional boards seem to have a magical way of finding themselves in review "compilations". NCLEX is administered using a test bank and it is updated from time to time. If you put an NCLEX testing center here you might find the NCLEX questions in a so-called "complete" compilation of previous NCLEX questions in a few years... I can only imagine the controversy... But I can also imagine the droves of nurses with their money, who'd like to have a piece of that!!! NCSBN might even be saving some review centers money... allegedly sponsoring nurses to take the NCLEX and cop out some of the questions they were asked.
