I just have to ask you, how is schooling going? You have to be so proud. How long was you a nurse before you went? I would love to know your story from beginning to now, on how you made it. I am a junior right now for getting my BA in nursing. Please give me some advise on the best ways to go, so that I too, can be were you are today. I have shadowed a CRNA, and I loved it. I am wanting to become a crna, and I talked to a dr. of anesthesiology, and he said the difference is dr. go for four years a medical school, plus another four years in their specialty. All we do is go the extra two year for our MA. Hope that helps.

I really am not going to respond to anything else. To be honest, I would know you without even seeing you. Smart remarks are not professional at all. You put your thought in the air. You should have been ready for whatever. My best advise is be careful what you say, because somethings are best said not said at all. I have nothing against you, it just sounds to me that you take things way to serious. Chill out, it is just a conversation.

I was attracted to your thread, and it opened my mind up to how people in general might think of people who desire to go into CRNA. Yes, the money is a big thing, especially the way the world today is going. I shadowed a chief CRNA for a summer to see if that is the way I wanted to go. Needless to say, I am going to get there. I feel that people that go into this field just for the money will be very unhappy. Money is the down fall to all men and if these individuals go into it just for that, it will come out. I feel you need to have a love for your job, and take pride in it. So I can understand what you are saying, however, it is going to happen. Sounds like you are a very good nurse, and I can only hope to run into more of you. If I were you, I would just let people talk, and the rest will come out.

Yoga, I love how you love your job. I am in ungraduate school at this moment to get my nursing degree, so that I can get into CRNA school. Hearing you has made me want it even more. I just wanted to ask you the best route for me to take. When you started your profession, did you shadow a CRNA? How long were you a nurse before you applied, and was it hard for you getting in the school? Do I need to take certain subjects to help me get in? They told me I had to be on ICU for one year before I could apply, and i can understand that, but do you think that will be enough for me to do good in CRNA school? I might sound a little harsh, but don't take it personally. Don't ever forget where you were in life before your career. You have made it through school, and now you need to start using your common sense. You have done your book work, be proud. Now you need to start blending your book skills with your common sense(survival). Don't let people, time, and everyday living stop what you have worked so hard for. Just start getting smarter. Whiether you stay or go, you will have to deal with some level of stress no matter what. Personally, I would rather have to struggle at a job that has the world to offer, than struggle at a convience store with no pay or future at all. If I were you, I would adjust myself to dealing with this cruel world ASAP, and be thankful that God saw you through as far as he has.

You need to keep your head up and aim as high as you can. I'm sure your nan would want that. Today Meg, life is only getting harder, and that means you need to get your education and protect your future. Never let yourself be in a spot where you have to depend on someone else. And you know what they say, once you quit at something, it is the hardest thing in the world to start again. I am a 31yr old single mother of three kids, ages 3,7,9, and am determined to not only suceed for myself, but also for my children. I don't need a man to survive. I have just joined this site lately and I think it is great. But in reference about the white uniforms, I think the color has nothing to do with it. People will run over and disrespect anybody that will let them. I have a line(space) that no one crosses, and I don't have to be unprofessional to get my point across. Being a nurse, and good one, doesn't mean you have to put up with inconciderate indiviuals. After a while, those that choose to be rude, will realize that you are not the one.:angryfire
