Vermont License Renewal..HELP!
hello everyone. i haven't posted on this forum in a long time. am renewing my VT license (for the first time), and have some questions: -i am sending the renewal fee in the form of bank draft. do i just course my transaction at any bank of my own choosing? or is there a particular bank that does this for VT Board of Nursing? sorry, i have no idea. -as to the renewal form, section E: my answer to question #1 is: I didn't graduate from an RN educational program within the last 5 years (since I completed nursing in 2003). i am confused about question #2: since I did not complete any Board approved RN Re-entry program. I am not sure if that'll be taken against me. FYI, i have practiced my profession for at least 120 days within the last 5 years. do i really need to complete #2? and how do i do that?

Jobs that you can create on your own
Great idea :) I'm doing number 3 right now and would like to participate some more, in activities similar to 1 and 5.

Heads-up: Filipino RNs
Thank you for the reminder. I just want to clarify something. The establishment I posted above has got nothing to do with the job advert posted online and is probably unaware that such people exist, using their agency to get these innocent nurses to pay for a small amount of fee (in exchange for "getting all the paperworks done"). Just be careful ok. Make sure you are responding to a valid advert. And if there is money involved--do some more research and think twice before you make your move.

Heads-up: Filipino RNs
Please be careful. A friend of mine got ripped off by a group of people using *********** (Canada) to bring registered nurses to Canada. Just to give you guys a heads up (especially to those responding to job ads posted online). This happened three weeks ago, but these people still continue to rip people off. I have a copy of the mail sent plus the link to that online ad, but am not sure if it is allowed to be posted on here. Just beware.

Heard of ANSM Consultancy- Australian Nurse, Student and Migration Consultancy?
Of course that is an utmost concern in all types of overseas application. Will just have to wait and see from other people's experiences. There are risk-takers and there are those that choose to play safe. I am somewhere in between---

Heard of ANSM Consultancy- Australian Nurse, Student and Migration Consultancy?
You're absolutely right. Coming to Australia is going to cost an arm and a leg. Much less, to hire any form of representation to get there. Just wanted to make sure I had it all right and explored my options. I don't want to spend $8500 (AUS) knowing there is "direct route". On the other hand, I don't want to end up saving more of my hard-earned money then having to deal with bigger problems later on (housing, job assistance, etc.)

Heard of ANSM Consultancy- Australian Nurse, Student and Migration Consultancy?
I've been doing a google search and nothing comes up pertaining to ANSM Consultancy. Can someone please PM me as to their contact info? It'd be greatly appreciated. I am wondering.. Is it really that hard to go to Australia via direct route? It seems everyone's going via assistance route. Would it be possible to challenge the exam without hiring or using any form of representation? Just a thought.

more about retrogression
I am also in this similar situation. I don't want to make guesses, but now, I am wondering what happens to most of us who haven't started filing yet.

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
Suzanne, I saw in the mail today, the actual approval letter from VT BON with enclosed confirmation card. It says on the card I have to return it to VT when I have registered with Pearson Vue. Can I just skip that part and proceed with having CA-BON forward my board scores to VT now? Or do I return the card and attach a letter explaning that I already passed the NCLEX (and my scores will come from California, not Pearson). Sorry, I am not sure what to do next.....

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
I wrote the NLE in June of 2003. Hope this helps.

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
I am not in that ordeal yet, right? Since they haven't issued me a license yet. So if I get this correctly, should I put off having my board scores sent until after March? Um.. would really appreciate your input. No problem, Suzanne.

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
Thank you for your response, Suzanne. But I NEVER said I wanted to work in California. I was after a state license that was flexible for endorsement to any state of my choosing. Thanks Dush for that clarification.

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
Oh no! How short is Vermont license valid for upon issuance? I wasn't aware of that (unfortunately)..... Although my main reason (for going this route) was not to get ahead, but clearly, I still made the wrong move. Should this Vermont license reach the verge of expiration, what other options do I have? Would endorsement to other state help or not?

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
Just to make a follow up to an earlier post, Suzanne4. Vermont just approved my application (by licensure). But I am a little unsure about asking for board scores (from California to Vermont). Do I just ask California to send a copy of my test result to Vermont? No explanation required? And aren't these state boards used to receiving NCLEX results from Pearson (not from another state)? Just a thought.

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
Sorry I had no one else to turn to. I am submitting a new application, and have elected to go thru Vermont (for reason stated on my previous post). Can anyone please help? Is my application still going to be licensure by examination? Which agency has my nclex board score (is it California board or pearson vue)? I am a little unsure who to write to for board scores should I receive another ATT for submitting a new application.

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
Thank you for the response. But I am just wondering.. Since CA requires social security #, and submitting another application to them might mean putting myself through the same ordeal again (stuck without the license), can I opt to submit a new application to Vermont this time? Since I kind of regret taking the CA route the first time.

Help! Re-applying for NCLEX!
Hi. I am new to this thread. I passed the NCLEX in 2003, but decided to put the American dream aside and pursue medschool. Eventually I do not intend to completely abandon acquiring a U.S. license, but I have only until December to submit social security #. If the moment my application gets abandoned, can I just re-apply? And since California requires social security #, I was thinking of going thru other routes (like Vermont), if that's possible?
