I shouldn't be to hard to get a job. if you wanna, just start out PRN, then if you like it, go full time and do PRN at the snf. there are ALWAYS ways around everything.

Hi, I'm not sure how it is working out there, but i'm looking to find out. I am currently on an assignment now. i would like to go to Hawaii in march or april. I have yet to find a company that staffs there. there are some that say they staff in Hawaii, but they are trying to get me to go elsewhere. if you have any advice or referrals on what company i should try, please let me know. i'm a RN. hi, please don't let that affect your decision of obtaing you RN degree. I know a lot of nurses who have tattoos. i just graduated from rn shcool in may of '05, my classmate have her whole name tattooed across her are. her uniform did not cover anything up. i know that society try to obtain their opions of what they see outside, but it's really what's inside that counts. just like now, they are doing background checks on nurses and fingerprints and everything. that does not stop some people even though they have a rap sheet. just please don't let that keep you from getting the job you deserve and have the life you want. good luck

hi sue, i just read your msg and you are right. lpn's do get the crappy jobs. for some reason, they think we are are beneath everyone. there are a lot of wonderful lpn's out there. it's all about how you sell yourself. i use to be a lpn for 3.5 years and finally i went back to rn school. i've been a rn for almost 1.5 years now. i'm sorry that you really feel this way, but trust me, i do feel your pain. if you ever go back and do get your rn licenses, just remember, if you have a lpn working under you or with you, treat them as your equal, not like they are beneath you. some lpns are SMARTER than rns. TRUST ME, I KNOW. good luck
