  1. Applied and did all the hire on process and education but they never called with any work.
  2. I have decided to wait but I will probably just do the BSN first so that I don't put too much pressure on myself.
  3. Maybe woolite or detergent made just for whites
  4. I am looking at them as well. If I hear anything I will post.
  5. I am looking into leaving the hospital and going back into LTC or rehab nursing because the schedule may be better for me and I have had a back injury and can not continue to work in the ED or don't think I can. Well my question is I have good benefits at the hospital and I need them as I have issues and have kids to insure and need the benefits medical and dental what company in Florida is the best I live in central florida.
  6. Thank you. Looking to start either Feburary or March with Capella will see how it goes Was supposed to start with WGU the same month but have a good feeling about Capella.
  7. Go to know may I ask which courses were the ones you were able to complete quickly also there a clinical type requirement like with the community health in WGU
  8. Trying to decide which one would be a better option capella because there are no tests to study for there's only papers to write or WGU because there are courses that can be finished by passing a class within a week. I was enrolled in WGU before and only was able to complete two courses so that option ended up not being cheaper for me and am afraid that if I try again I may be held up because of a test that cannot be passed and I still will not finish as fast as I am hoping but feel as if I can write papers and fulfill the requirements for the courses at capella.
  9. Thank you I will check them out.
  10. Just wanted to know which scrub pants had the most pockets so that a tee shirt can be wore instead of a scrub top.
  11. they emailed me and told me I was denied
  12. Hopefully that is a good sign because I was denied earlier this week. So GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
  13. Is it a good idea to obtain specialty certification right after graduating nursing school. I dont know what I want to work in but I thought it might not hurt when looking for a job.
  14. I hope you dance
  15. All you can do is ask I wouldn't tell them of your plans just ask if you can not go to the meeting and if you can have a set time then you will know. If you tell them you are going to school and it does not have anything to do with what you are doing now they might be upset because they know you will be needing special treatment while there and be leaving after that. Afterlike a month of LPN school you an go take your CNA test then as a CNA you can work weekends only and attend school all week and they will work with you because they will want to keep you as a nurse. Do you have assisted living where you are you can be a resident assistant without a license they train you on the job and they are flexible as well and you will gain valuble experience
  16. The math is available online but I need to take developmaent in the first six weeks and it is not but i went to the school and they have it available March 3 thru May 5 so i will only have to do two in the first six weeks of summer I am thinking i can do the two
  17. It does help to know that everyone didn't come out of high school and know exactly what they want to do and do it It seems that way when i watch others getting done but if you let them tell there story it wasn't easy for them either
  18. I want to start nursing school as soon as possible but the way it is set up I will have to take three classes in six weeks in order to have them done by the time to apply for the program start in Jan. 2011 (it is now Feb. 2010) I can't start taking classes until the summer because i missed the boat for January because my mind was made up to do LPN but none of the LPN schools would take me and it just doesn't fit my schedule really. On with the problem, If I take math for liberal arts 2, human development, and intro to nursing for six weeks starting May and ending in June I can apply in July to start in Jan 2011 but if I spread them out I can start in Aug 2011 it just seems so far away. Any advise anyone that has taken these classes can all three be done at the same time and pass I want a really good grade I would also have to work full-time and I am a wife and mother to four kids :argue: Or any advise on what to do with my time while I wait I feel like i have waited so long already I am 26 and will probably be about 30 when I'm done and my oldest child will be 12 or 13 I feel like I've wasted so much time but want to do whats best I will be taking them at Polk State College please help me can it be done in six weeks and be successful or should I take math for six weeks the first half of summer and development the second half and intro to nursing in August for sixteen weeks please help i am ready

  22. Well you metioned your child and being a mother myself i would love a evening program so that I would not have to pay daycare and the community college may be cheaper but look at the cost for child care will it be the same price in the long run as the private college and you could be at home and another thought if you did not mind paying the child care if it is a good school that teaches well they could be on there way to learning and getting prepared for kindergarten while you are studying to be a nurse it just bepends on what matters to you be apply to both both have there pros
