well i can attest to having pain and falling asleep w/a migraine....when first diagnosed they gave me fiorinal. i got a 10/10 migraine and took the fiorinal, and just got really happy, and sleepy and tired, but no pain relief!!!! i was making christmas wreaths at the time i took the fiorinal, and man, those were some wacked wreaths!!! but the headache did NOT go away with fiorinal and i did sleep. now midrin does the job.

"If you have a medication allergy, don't take the medication again just to see what will happen." oh i just had to close my eyes and shake my head at myself when i read this one, i did this once with percocet. i had been taking one at a time for a day or so, and having no problems, then took two when i had worse pain and then got a big rash and terrible itching. i did suspect the percocet, but after a few days off of it, took 2 again to see what would happen. never again!!! LOL what a dope i was.....

Astra Zeneca (and another drug co which I forget already because I was so disgusted) sponsored a major golf tournament which was on TV this past weekend with the usual major golf names in it.....a million dollars was the 1st prize.

I have nurses' liability (which is really personal liability insurance) with state farm. it is a rider to my homeowner's insurance, and i think only costs me another 17 bucks for 500,000 worth of coverage. well worth it, whatever the cost. try to get the highest amount you can for coverage; i wanted a million but they dont go that high. ALWAYS carry your own coverage. nancy

well, i have called everyone there is to call.....i have to review records and then give a deposition. my stomach doesnt feel very good today thank you ALL for the good advice! i have an attorney from my group's practice (i work for a private cardiology group) that i can hire on my own. sheesh with all the other crap we have to worry about, why does this have to be thrown in the middle of the mess.

Hi all, I received a letter late Friday telling me I was a "fact witness" , NOT a defendant, in a lawsuit regarding a procedure I was involved in, last April 2001! Has anyone else ever had this happen? I am now to the point where at least I don't hyperventilate anymore when I look at the letter. I feel like *I* did something wrong (the patient died) but I am not the one being sued, and I can't think of anything I did wrong anyways. But I also don't remember that much about it at this point. I am very nervous, any advice out there? Is this something I need to get my own counsel for? I do have nursing liability insurance, am I supposed to call my insurance co. about it too? help, please! I of course will be calling the lawyers who sent me the letter tomorrow, and going from there, but I know you guys will help me! thanks!!!!!! Nancy

hey mario, where exactly are you putting the stethoscope to listen? you mentioned axillary, do you mean apical? bowel sounds always sound kinda squeeky to me......and sometimes have little hiccup-y sounds too :kiss
