need some advice
ok, it is a little early, however I want some help, I am thinking on taking chemistry and Microbiology in the same semester. Is this a good idea? has anyone ever done it before?

pre-reqs need help
it all depends on the Pre-reques, I am having to take A+P I & II, Chemistry, and intro to Psych, however i am taking some of my core classes as well, like English, Micro Biology, Developmental Psych, and health care spanish. for me I am almost done with my Pre-Reqs but i am also trying to take every core class that I will need, besides the nursing classes. It takes a while to finish, but we will need more info about your pre-Reqs before we can make a determination.

I need some encouragement
all of your ideas sound great, I am going to try a combination of them...... BUT what i really want is someone to make a "gentlemans" bet with. To see how hard i am going to push myself. Please help me and push me to get there. Thanks:chair:

ACLS not encouraged?
first and foremost, you HAVE to follow procedure. If it is not in the protocols you can't be held liable for it. I am an EMT that is trained in ACLS, but it is not in my protocol so........ even when I know there is something for the patient that I can do I have to abide by the rules and do what I can.

My height is 4 ft. & 9 inches. Am I qualified for BSN Course?
I know plenty of people who are under 5ft tall that have a 4yr BSN RN under their belt. Besides how cool will it be when patients will have to "look UP" while looking down. Anything is managable when you put your mind to it!!!!!! :monkeydance:

Rusk Mental Facility
Does anyone know where to get more information on this hospital? or the town? I have looked into it and have decided that is where I eventually want to work. Mental health has always fascinated me and I can't find any subject material on the hospital. Any info would be great, also what experiencies have you had with mental health? I would love to hear about them.

How scary is anatomy class
you will get out of it what you put in. I really suggest getting a good study partner/group together. Muscles by far are the most difficult. But it is understandable if you try. remember to take it one day at a time and breath. dont get overwhelmed, but dont put it off. you can do it if you try.

A weird question.....
have you tried talcom powder prior to putting on your gloves? also I know that there is a name for this something like "Hyperhydrosis," excessive sweating when you break it down. I might be wrong but there may be a medication to prevent you from sweating. Tray looking into it online or asking a doctor. I hope this helps.

Anatomy flash cards
one of my instructors encouraged us to use flash cards, however he stated that for memory reasons you should hand write them out. He also said that for the best memory, you should hand write them on yellow note cards. I don't know if it helped but i did get a "B" in that class.

Do you prefer buying books that already have writing in them?
To me, it is really about price right off, if it is a pricey book, one that I could refer to later, I will by a brand new one. If it is something that I will never use again (i.e. English) i will by one that is missing a cover if i can get it for chep.

I Cant Make Up My Mind Pease Help!!!!!
it really sounds like you should check into the programs and see if there is anyway they offer an accelerated 2 yr program after you already have you LPN. Also you may want to look into what an LPN can do in your state, I looked into it in my state, and then decided to go for the 2 yr program because they are basicly glorified CNA's
