  1. Good luck on your journey!!! Stay strong and focused. I will be tackling this beast soon enough... cheers and blessings, jeni:heartbeat
  2. UGH!!!! I totally understand!! I took it a year ago in Feb after much fustration with my application and was finally able to take the exam, EVERYONE was up my bum to take it NOW, pass it, earn more$$$...not just my family, but my employer. Needless to say, I took the 1st available, stressed out, failed(I rocked on my LPN exam), and beyond bummed. A month later, I got injured on the job...guess what, I got fired after the bosses wife found out it was an on the job injury, which is actually illegal on their part. So nursejeni, is no longer...I'm now the patient, injured, a bit annoyed, and yet inspired to hit those books. I can definatelt say I am not the same person from a year ago. I was motivated, passionate and full of ambition, but with the nursing commission going in circles on my application, then finally taking it when I shouldn't have...then, then then... The old me would say, take some time off, reflect, enjoy your family and prioritize. When you feel the time is right, start studying, which is what I SHOULD do!!! I'll be popping in and out. Hope all is well and hope to see more of us as RN's in 2008!!!! cheers and blessings nursejeni:heartbeat
  3. Yes...THANK U that there a few of us in this BOAT!!!! I rocked in school, and in clinicals, but when tests came along, my anxiety was worst than labor pains...I learned how to manage it. I passed my LPN 1st try, no worries, but this NCLEX-RN is really a bugger to me. I know my stuff, but..... what is it??? I'll be hitting my various books and nail it this time. Good luck to all and blessings!!! cheers, nursejeni:nurse:
  4. WoW!!!! A very much due Christmas gift for you!!!!! And a year apart, ok, I'm thinking this is what is happening for the busier, probably nontraditional student set.....like myself, I'm a mama of three. I actually have my BS in Psych, years go by, have a baby(got married too)decided to go back to school to be a RN...reality kicked in, had another baby(a sad story though...she's in heaven) went into midwifery, got pregs AGAIN..all good, then YES, pregs again(boy/girl/boy/girl)...urged to come back to nursing school(LPN 1st)...being pregged out with a baby and toddler, my dean said I can do it!!!! Sheeeesh, being sleep deprived, working and a mama...I got through school...this is just ANOTHER task for nursejeni to tackle...I think I'm better with age, jut like wine, just that darn test anxiety kicks me in the hoohaw...I will be nursejeni RN...hopefully within the next few months.... thank u thank u cheers and blessings nursejeni
  5. OMG!!!!!! 16x's???!!!!! I would totally poooo!!!! I'm probably shooting for March myself, which sadly is a year from when I took it last. It's soooooo surprising how quickly some things go by, like test time. I had one heck of a time with one of my nursing exams in school, only to find out AFTER I passed it, they changed the course req., and that one was waived if you were a active LPN...I was, booooooo!!!!! That alone would of saved me 1 year on my studies, but hey, we have our whole lives to work :) I'll keep an eye out for you, and let me know how the studies are doing. I probably won't get back to the hard core stuff for another week or so, I'm thinking the 3 lil' ones are sort of enjoying me home and away from the books.... cheers, jeni
  6. Good luck 2 U!!! I need to start studying AGAIN, then plan a date.... ugh!!! Let me know how you do...again, goodluck cheers, jeni:up:
  7. Hello hello, Tell me about "Suzanne's plan." I keep seeing it, this gal needs to calm down, clamp down and maybe get back into the routine...kinda grumpy about NOT passing, threw me off hardcore!!!! Let me know what I SHOULD do!!!! thank you thank you!! nursejeni
  8. Hello hello.... Just glad someone else is out there... I am shocked that I didn't pass...I have hope, but haven't studied FOREVER, kinda been on strike and a bit grumpy about it... Be great to chat once in awhile... cheers, jeni
  9. Hello "anticoag..." where are you in wa??? I'm snowed in up here in NW Wa along the Canadian border. Just a quick shout out to my local nurses in my area!!!! Nurse Jeni
  10. soooo sorry about those #$%^$@ bubbles...i failed partly due to that and the dran ce(silent observer) was wildly tapping that foot i'm ready to amputate...believe, i work at an asc where we could....ugh!!!!! i know the poopy feeling, feel free to email me privately, also, where and when did you test??? mine was plain-no back in aug, but i graduated dec. 15th, there is hope!!! nurse jeni:smackingf
  11. Hello, just as said before, the "GRID" is YOUR tool..the way YOU will organize YOUR game for this CPNE... I can fax you some ideas....however, YOU need to work on what works 4 U!!!!! Send me your fax using the private message system here at Allnurses...but just a heads up...I simply had the PT name, Adm Dx on the top, then the "20 check , with washing your hands, ID the pt with 2 forms, check their hydration status, and if they have an IV, check the site, and flow rate" then I'd do VS...then note what SAOC to preform, check them off as you go, and don't 4get mobility...plus document, document document...email me...I'll explain nurse jeni also, you can go to CE/EPN and get my email off there if you can, I'll try to check in here more often
  12. True....I'm done, I haven't been to this site 4ever!!!! My grad date is Dec. 15th, so a lil' extra goodie will be under the tree for me....a RAISE!!!! Jeni
  13. I thought the whole EC experience was....interesting to say the least. I went to such a supportive program for my LPN...the instructors were right there pushing you to suceed. Here, I was clueless, the theory exams, I had no-one to complain with, and then the CPNE...what the&^%???? I'm soooo happy it's over, I'm very independent and motivated as a solo learner, but I can honestly say that if it wasn't for my scholarship, I definately would not have done the EC route. Anticoag...Nurse, what part of Wash. State R U???? I'm up here in Blaine, really Birch Bay, along the Canadian border. Any other peeps from Wash???
  14. hello....this is nurse jeni, again....i'm looking on how to begin a forum on the cpne only!!!! that's all i have left, and a minimal amount of patience.....shoot me a message on your experiences, i got ragged at by an instructor who didn't have her facts straight on the excelsior's epn :) at least, we can be honest here, hopefully, they, don't have anyone looking over all the various sites..... anyhoooo...looking 4ward 2 discussing your +/- experiences with the cpne.......jeni:nurse:
