the best online NP program
Goodmorning all,I have been researching older posts about FNP programs online. I will complete my BSN next March but am already looking ahead as I would like to go straight into an FNP program. I find that online learning suits me best but at the same time don't want to pay extortionate amounts for my education. basically I am looking for quality at a good price.thank you so much.

Would love to hear from TB control nurses.
Hi there, Yes,i am still working as a TB nurse and am loving it! My day to day is always different I work from 8.30 to 4.30. The way our clinic is set up, each nurse is assigned her own patients. We do case management activities and are involved with contact investigations. The patients that come to the clinic. Are either newly diagnosed with TB or Latent TB. With TB patients we do bood draws an sputum testing, and general assessments. We also see a lot of clearance patients fromimmigration or shelters. There is lots of paperwork but if you are organized it helps. TB is a very interesting disease , there is so much to learn. Good luck and let me know if you need any more info.

Further education for PHN's
Hi there, I just started my first nursing job as a junior PHN at my local health department. I only have an ADN in nursing and am looking to continue my education. Should I get a BSN first or shall I go for a BS in Public Health? What about a certificate in public health? Any advice welcome! By the way I prefer online courses as well. Many thanks!

New US Grad working in the UK - is this possible?
I used to live in the UK for almost 10 years before moving to the US and strange as it sounds I miss certain things about it. Thanks for the NMC website - I will have a look. Actually I think its the same here, I have been looking for a while now and still nothing, no interviews, call backs - its quite depressing really.

The Right Move
I am a recent grad and experiencing difficulty finding my first nursing job. Have received an offer to work in Public Health - which is one of my areas of interest. I am also interested in Home Health Care and Case Management. My question if I go straight into PH without hospital experience will I shoot myself in the foot career wise? Lots of people always stress the importance of hospital experience. Thanks for any advice.

Educational and clinical path to Forensic Nursing
Hi all, I have recently completed my RN ADN and am currently looking for a job. Now that I finally have some free time I am researching different types of nursing and the ones that interest me the most are public health or forensics. In forensics I am more interested in death investigation and /or working with the medical examiners office. SANE is ok too, but not my first interest. I am also looking into getting back to school and am debating between my BSN or a Forensic Science program, which does not really focus on nursing though. Any advise is welcome on the best way to get into this exciting and interesting field. Many thanks

My main interest has always been public health/home health but I do realize that a new grad needs some hospital experience. Should I accept this position or get hospital experience first? Many thanks for any tips, advice
