  1. Hello Floridanurse! I am currently working as the RN at an Adult Day Care Center in Los Angeles. I work closely with our Program Director, and prior becoming the RN at that facility, I was the assistant to the Program Director. Just an overview on the role of Program Director: (atleast in our facility) - coordinates with all the members of the multi-disciplinary team (Social Services, Nursing Staff, PT, OT, Speech Therapist, Nutritionist, Doctor, etc) - makes sure that all documents are completed within the required time frame (flowsheets, forms, etc.) - resolves problems/conflicts within the organization - makes important decisions for the facility - makes sure his/her subordinates comply with their duties/job description and encourages/motivates them to perform better - holds meetings from time to time to discuss important matters regarding the patients/facility/anything that needs to be discussed/resolved. there's a lot more, but i'm sure they will provide you with a job description. best of luck with your interview! being the director has a lot of responsibilities, but im sure you'll enjoy working in an Adult Day Care. It has a relaxed environment and your clients are very appreciative of what you do for them. it's a very fulfilling job. :)
  2. now that we have all the information we need to know... what can we do to stop this nightmare from happening?! we certainly do not want taxes be paid to the very corrupt government! let alone pay triple tax! this is really unjust. they should stop collecting taxes and start giving us back what they stole. now i feel that the only reason why the political candidates are running for position is because they can steal more! sad...but true...
  3. hi forexinegirl! i took the Dec 2006 NLE and registration/application to the PRC for the exam is only a one day (actually half day if you arrive early, like 7am to get in line, or arrive in the afternoon like 2-3pm.) so anyway, im a second courser. we didn't go through the interview thing because we registered a few days before the deadline, meaning the PRC is really packed with students who needs to beat the deadline. but my classmates who registered earlier told me that we have to be prepared to answer basic nursing concepts. the board member also asked them about their cases (the major & minor surgical cases and the cord care, deliveries assisted & actual deliveries). the Notice of Admission (NOA) is given to you on the day itself of your registration. you'll fill-up a blue paper with "Notice of Admission" as the title. so, don't go home without it!
  4. thanks a lot, luvmy2angels! :)
