congrats! I have my cos-c but am trying to decide whether to do hcs-d or bchh-c exam certification, any feedback you have heard?

thank you how can i contact you further...i guess my issue is im taking an online program so my advisor is giving meadvice but its email back and forth:( also, i guess my whole thing is until i complete my degree, what kind of job or jobs should i be in until my degree is completed. which type of job would be most beneficial...mds, or staff rn or whatnot...

what advice do you have for a nurse with the end goal of informatics. i am currently a staff rn in home health and per diem at the hospital...my advisor in my msn program thinks i should get into mds when i told her i had an offer to do that. are there jobs in informatics other than in te hospital??? mds is usually ltc facilities and uses computers and whatnotbut i want t chooe a career that will have me be able toadvance further when i complete my msn in informatics...

thanks for the feedback even though i was hoping itd be a little more positive but ya never know i spose rite! i think in any state nurses are in abundance more than they ever have been so it is definitely a lot tougher to get a job you love. is the pay that much worse though? i mean RN's make 22 and up in ny is that a far stretch from fla? ive heard so many mixed reviewsjust gonna hafta play it by ear...and simply complicated yu said you went back to ny or did you stay in fla?

hi i am currently an rn since feb and working in LTC BUT WANT TO GET INTO THE HOSPITALS SO BAD! i am in ny but moving to largo, fla with my boyfriend in oct. any suggestions on what's good bad and ugly and any advice is greatly appreciated. i was an lpn 4 yrs prior and doing mds and managerial tasks nw but only ltc experience my application is pending in fla still just submitted it two wks ago so once i get that moving forward to the job, moving, furniture buying joys of life!! so any feedback whatsoever would rock!!~CArol

o no i know calis out of the ?!! i did graduate from ec taking my boards in like a week tho...so idk i emailed them so hopefully i'll get a response soon. they did mention the 120 hrs but idk where that is or anything so who knows. im thining texas or fla at this point:)

o wow i think excelsior had told me 120 preceptorship hours or something like that? and florida and texas is not the case huh?! well that's good! i wonder if you have to do the application by endorsement in those states as well tho?

just wondering i am taking my (nys) rn boards in like a week and contemplating a move to either az, fl, or texas in that order prob:) any feedback from peeps that are knowledgeable with info for myself and bf whos moving with me would be awesome and thanx a bunch!!~Carol

any students and or nurses that went to excelsior and live in rochester, ny or NYS for that matter?? i'm wondering if you had any difficulty getting a job bc i don't know any people that have gone to excelsior college! help i wanna make the right decision for my career. also...i work at a nursing home. do you think the clinicals will be way over my head????:bowingpur

hi i am considering enrolling in excelsior but am hesitant i live in the rochester area in NY and wondering if its too good to be true? because it sure sounds like it! and do hospitals and such accept excelsior schooling education? help i need to make a decision
