  1. I am a triage nurse for multiple primary practices. I work really hard to establish relationships with the offices first. MA'S are the heartbeat of primary offices so you need to respect them accordingly. I use Clear Triage as a format and document in many areas. redundant documentation for me is the killer and remember working from home you will be evaluated and micromanaged constantly. Think of it as a constant improvement opportunity and you will do fine.
  2. that is an excellent guideline, I am a new nurse to ccu and always feel so overwhelmed in report, but this makes things thorough and easier.
  3. I am a new nurse, passed my boards in April. New nurses should be screened, and preceptored. I know from personal experience that being inexperienced things go real wrong, real quick, and someone needs to be there to answer questions at all times. I want to learn, and always ask questions, but from my side I do get a huge amount of sarcasm and invalidation. It does shut me down, and I suffer to keep my head above water. I think everyone needs to take more responsibility and speak out when situations put patients in danger. I wish my unit would be more responsive to me and stop trying to weed me out, by telling me I NEED med surg experience before I get there. I feel I need support, education, and real feedback so that I can improve..
  4. these links are fantastic, especially for me being a completely green nurse starting my life in the CCU....
