Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
Well, I took it in WI, but my license will be in IL. Thanks so much for the info...still getting the pop-up...unfortunately I'll probably be checking it all night. I have a huge headache after that and want to go to bed...but I have a 4 year old, so not possible right now. That was TORTURE!!!

Exam Cram for NCLEX-RN
Thank you so much for that info!! I really wish the class would have been more than answering questions...I wasn't aware that was all it would be...sounds like you have a good class. Ideal! But this leaves it on me to sharpen my knowledge...I just want something that will help the information about diseases and such STICK! I will definitely check out those other books to get the info I am looking for!! Thanks again for the great suggestions!!

I am still waiting for my ATT...I have done my part, but waiting for the school to send out our paperwork...so once I get that, my plan is to try to sign up for mid February. I just finished my Kaplan review course today and I plan on continuing to review that book as well as take the Qbank questions and possibly Saunders. Good luck to everyone!!! And yes, WE CAN DO IT!!!

Exam Cram for NCLEX-RN
I've seen several references to the Exam Cram book for the NCLEX-RN and came SOOOO close several times to buying it. Can anyone tell me what this book has that others may not or what makes it good? I am currently taking the Kaplan class and was a little disappointed that we are reviewing questions only the entire time and now I am reading some saying you need more than just that to answer questions which is not what they are telling us. I am learning things from the class as we go along, but I just feel like this book is calling my name and I don't know why!! If anyone has further information on the book, let me know!! I think I just need something that will help me learn some of the stuff I may not know and not sure the Kaplan book will do that fully! Thanks!!! Lori

clip board with or without calculator attached...which is better?
I think I would have gone with the one that has it attached...but I didn't see them...so I had the one without. But really, to have it all right there would be nice...just my opinion! The less stuff you have to carry around and jam in your pockets, the better. You may think one calculator may make a huge difference, but trust me, it does...LOL

Becoming a nurse for the money...
My quick response... Who cares what the reason may be, the only thing that really matters is that you care about your patients and take care of them the way you would want yourself or a family memeber taken care of...some people have that caring personality, others don't...if you don't, I think this is the wrong field to be in.

Level of education required for Head Nurse...
There were some job postings that used that term...I figured they were all the same type of position, but just wanted to verify...

RN to BSN offered in hospital settings...
Hi there!!! I am a current ADN Student in very far North IL. When I get my degree, my husband and I are wanting to move into Wisconsin. We are not set on an exact location, but answers to this question may actually give me some good options... In IL, there are some hospitals in my area that actually offer BSN completion courses at the hospitals...they offer classes like once a week and it's a fairly quick program from what I understand. Problem being, I don't want to work in IL...I don't want to be stuck here required to complete the program AND possibly have to stay on for a certain amount of time after I finish the program due to obligation. So, I am wondering, are there any hospitals in Wisconsin that offer this type of program? I have been researching some hospitals, but I didn't see anything. The only reason I know about these offers at the hospitals around me is because they had some flyers at school. I really want to complete my BSN and this would be the most convenient way to do it...just need to know where it might be offered!!! Thanks so much for your help with this!!

Thanks for the great info...I appreciate it!!!

Level of education required for Head Nurse...
I "think" I know the answer to this, but want to know for sure...what type of degree is necessary to even have the opportunity to become a Head Nurse in the future??? I think you have to at the very least have your bachelors, but wanted to see what everyone else had to say!!! Thanks!!!!

Prescription From Student Health Center
I agree with the previous poster, and also you will get to know and feel more comfortable with your teacher throughout the semester, so that should give you some relief as well. I have not gone to the school nurse for anything like that, but I would say if you think you need it, it may not be a horrible idea!! You shouldn't have to worry about that when in the nursing program...your going ot have enough to think about!!! Yes, it's stressful, but good...and you really do get to know your group VERY well!!! Best of luck to you!

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
Yes, I wear the nude undies as well...everyone else in my class I can tell wears the white, but nude just makes sense...thanks to Colleen and Diedra for telling me that 2 semesters ago.

We got into the CLC Nursing program...now what
Trust me when I say it CAN be done...I work full-time through the day and go to classes at night. I am in my 3rd semester right now...I have no choice but to work. Most of the night class students are doing it while working full-time, but not all...as well as some day students. If you are determined, you figure it out. Yes, it's a HUGE hit on your home life, but my husband and I both know in the end, it will be worth it!!! I'm stressed ALL the time!!! And I don't get nearly enough time with my daughter, but I know I can do it!!! If I could quit, I certainly would...but unfortunately for us, it's not an option.

just want to know!
I think mine is the lack of time to study. I work full-time (have to) and have a family (husband, 3year old daughter & a dog) at home that I have to care for...so, time for me is limited...so I guess the best answer for this would be balance!!! I am doing it...in 3rd semester now out of 4, so I'm getting there, but none the less, makes for VERY stressful semesters!!! Glad your financial situation was helped...that is stressful to think you'll have to stop...

First night of clinicals
YES, YOU CAN DO THIS!!! It will be fine...the first few clinicals are always a little...I guess uneasy? The unknown is what's so scary, but as time goes on, the confidence will increase!!! GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY IT!!!
