Hi NursePink, The NET test was required for entrance into the nursing program here. I don't really think you will need any classes to prepare for it. The NET study guide book from amazon.com is helpful for a math review. It has practice tests in the back of the book to help you see what you need to work on. The reading part you just really need to watch your time on. I think it was only 30 minutes and that goes by super fast. A lot of the people taking the test said they didn't get to finish it. Wear a stopwatch so you know how much time you have left. (someone on here said they did that and it's a great idea). Does your school require the NET? If so, they should tell you when you need to take it.

I'm taking Introductory Chem this fall. How did it go for you? I'm kind of nervous about it. I've never had any chemistry classes before.

I took the NET on June 9. I too used the NET study guide by Frost that you have purchased. The math portion is very much like that in the study guide. HOWEVER....the reading portion was much harder on the actual test than in the book. I tested myself using the study guide and got 100% each time on the reading portion. On the real test I got 54% on the reading portion! I'm not telling you this to scare you or in any way discourage you. YOU CAN DO IT! Just make sure you check your time on the reading portion and take it seriously. It's not just a comprehension quiz, it's about inferences and predicting the outcome. The idea someone mentioned about wearing a stopwatch to the exam was excellent! Wish I had thought of that. Believe me, I'm one who has always done well in English/reading courses, so for me to say it was tough....it really was. But just because something is hard doesn't mean it's not possible to accomplish. It just means you have to try harder! I'm taking the test again but will focus more on the reading this time.
