  1. It will definitely get better. I was stressed out and felt lost during my very first week of clinical in a primary care setting. I felt more comfortable as I watched and learned from my preceptor. I asked questions about things I wasn't sure about and my preceptor was glad to answer and clarify things. I soon became more comfortable and finally stared to enjoy it instead of being scared. best of luck to you Rameygurl!
  2. hi cayenne06! Thank you for your response! I will be seeing both OB and GYN patients. Wow sounds pretty amazing to work in women's health. Of course I did clinical rotations in obgyn but felt like I didn't get to see enough patients. A lot were very routine such as PAPs, normal OB patients without complications, contraceptive pills etc... It's great to hear that you love working in reproductive health!
  3. Hey everyone, I just recently took my AANP examination in October 2015 and have been offered a position working in an OBGYN office. I am a new FNP grad with no experience. Are there any OBGYN NPs who can give me some insight as to what their day consists of? I would love to hear from you guys! Thanks !
  4. thank you for the responses :) ... I'm glad to hear some positive feedbacks. I guess its expected to get the heavier or troublesome patients when you are a floater. But seems like overall, being a float nurse can be very interesting as well ..thanks!
  5. I have been seeing job posting for Resource RN float pool. What are your thoughts on it? For those who have or currently is a float nurse, do you like it? What do you like and dislike about it? Any info would be very helpful...Thanks guys!
