  1. a pocket size of hand sanitizer
  2. Why are family members so rude? I work as a CNA and I know it must be hard to put your loved one in a nursing home- but please don't take your frustation out on us. Some family members stand over you the whole time while you are rendering care. One asked me today in a very nasty way -why is my mother in bed every time I come see her-Dugh because you only come see her at night?!? I went to turn one of my patients today and his wife asked me didn't I just turn him at 12:00 - I told her yes it is now 2:00 we have to reposition them e 2 hrs. She got very nasty. Well, luckily I have the nurse to back me up now. How will I handle these situations when I am a nurse? I'm very patient It just blows my mind sometime what we go through.
  3. I drive 30 miles to work one way-For a total of 60 miles. With the rising costs of gas, how far is too far to drive and how many total miles do you drive each day?
  4. I work in a long term care facility. One day one of my patients wanted to go to wal-mart. I told her I can't take her it was against the rules. Next thing I know she's coming down the hall with her pocket book. I said where are you going? She replied, " I done called me a cab". I could not help but to laugh!!!
  5. I really, really need advice. I've been a CNA for 5 years at a long term care facility. I drive 40 miles to work. Well, gas is getting higher, and I really want to get a job in my home town (-1 mile). I'll be taking my major nursing classes next semester and the time I spend driving, I can be studying. Well, I love my residents, everytime I make my mind up I change it again. I feel guilty, I know I'm a good CNA and I know they will be losing a good one. Also, I love my supervisor-how many jobs you gonna find like that? She will be so dissapointed-she has no idea how I feel--What would you do??
  6. Oh my god. Don't give up. Keep looking. Are you an RN/LPN?
  7. Well, thanks to everyone who gave their opinions. Exam in 2 days! Wish me luck!!
  8. What might be deficient in the diet of a pregant woman who is complaining of leg muscle cramps? THANKS! :)
  9. Okay. I'm taking anatomy this summer. My co-worker suggested we start a study group. I tried it and it was terrible. All we did was ate pizza and talked. I never liked study gorups; I prefer to get into my nice quiet corner and do my own thing. Now after this I know I can't study with a group. What do I say??
  10. I've been a CNA for 5 years. I'm currently in nursing school. The way I see it is -when your heart is in what you do, and you actually love what you do, things of that nature should not bother you. That's why I became a CNA first to get expierience from the bottom. Besides you are doing it for the patient.
  11. Micro BIO That's if I can get through the summer first!
  12. How might the application of heat or substances dilate blood vessels to help relieve muscle soreness?? Thanks.
  13. I am taking anatomy 1&2. And oh my god. I have never studied so much in my life. So far I've passed every test. But it's just getting harder. Oh well wish me luck. Good luck to all summer schoolers!!
