I am currently working on my MSN with a focus in nursing education. My desire after graduation is to find a position in the clinical setting (preferably an ER). I have been purusing through job ads noticing some states prefer a CNS educating their ER nursing staff instead of a masters prepared nurse educator. Is anyone else finding this issue? Should I be concerned with my chosen path? In practice, I have seen both in this position. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that there will be a job with my name on it!

Definitely possible. As a travel nurse for 8 years... trust me. There are contracts out there that can offer you up to 60 hours/week if you want. All depends on you situation (i.e. family, no family, travel reimbursement, housing needed or can stay with a friend/family). Try googling short term travel contracts. This will bring up some companies you can check out. Not sure if we can name drop companies on this site???

Congrats on your upcoming pinning. My father is a police officer also. He has told me from day one of getting a car to NEVER personalize your plates...in any aspect. You should be proud that you made it through the craziness of nursing school, but don't leave yourself open to the human craziness! Best of luck! TJ
