  1. Boards of nursing have nothing to do with 1:1 policiesa seems wrong. How about the patients. If I knew I was a1:1 and my nurse was responsible for charge and something happened or didn't yeah I'm complaining! THink about the patients where are they ain any assignment scenerio in 2014!
  2. Hospitals and nurses thinking generally different. How do you feel about charge for 8 patients plus and plus charge? I think SERIOUSLY wrong and unsafe where does it stop..
  3. Is CVVH, balloon pumps and impellas manageable while doing charge in an ICU? Apparently some institutions think so. Is it safe? I tend to think not; am I wrong?
  4. Yes this is the second year for the floor unit, originally called TAC(Team Actualization Committe, but now the floor councils are called UBC..Or Unit based councils, there has been a hospital wide one for 4 years...We have nurses, a socialworker, a Dr. and a secretary on the UBC..Overall it's a good thing..Some acocmplishments include Peer reviews, Patient reviews, which the Dr. is in involved in, handling visiting hours, updated teaching materials, precepting guidelines..getting vending machines on the floor that offer free coffee etc..to visitors..sometimes things cannot be fixed or changed,, so you move on...to something else. We try to work on tasks and not make it a complaint session..It's still a work in progress...
