Moving to MN/Rosemount!
Hi there. I'm planning on moving to MN in the next couple months to be closer to family. I'm planning on moving to the Rosemount area...are there hospitals or nursing jobs near this location? If so which ones? Is Rosemount a good area? I'm a single 29 year old with close to a year experience in pediatrics! I hope to hear from somebody!! Thanks.

scores on cds for those who passed nclex
On average I scored in the 70's with Saunders. I did horrible on the Hessi...didn't prepare. I passed NCLEX on my first try. Good luck.

165 questions
LOL. I'm sure if you were predicted at 95% to pass, you did!!! I seriously thought it was the hardest test ever. Was ready to retake. I'm sure you passed. Is this the website you need? Pearson Vue lets you schedule NCLEX and check your quick results on here. http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex/ Edited to add that my state also had my license status updated two days after my exam. I just called and it said my license is active...quick!

165 questions
I had right around 160 and PASSED. I'm sure you did too. I thought I had failed too and was miserable, but somehow things worked in my favor. Good luck!!!!!!!!

failed the nclex three times as of today
I used Saunders and passed. This is the only book and cd I used to study. The NCLEX is about critical thinking. You may know all your labs, disease processes, s/s, etc. BUT you need to know how to interpret all this data and apply it to real life situations. Delegation and prioritization are huge: Which pt. would you call back first? Which dr. order which you implement first? Which order needs to be clarified? Start thinking in these sort of terms.... We all agree that nothing on the NCLEX is black and white. You need to learn how to narrow the answers down to two and picking the BEST one. I'd try Saunders...which is what Suzanne's plan is based around.

Every single one of my classmates whom I've talked to have passed. All thought it was hard. I'm hoping I'm not one of the first to fail. Still waiting........

A couple girls I know had 75 questions, thought the test was easy, and passed! Good luck!

I feel sick
Thanks guys. I'm calmer now...praying for a miracle. I hate the fact that I've worked so hard throughout school, did well in school, and it all comes down to this crazy test!! Eeeeeeek.

I feel sick
I took the NCLEX this morning. I had between 150-170 questions...I wasn't paying attention. I walked out feeling extremely dumb. The questions were so hard!!! I'm about 99% sure I failed. I had priority..which patient would you see first. Which patient would you call back first. Delegation. Several select all the apply. Lots of patient teaching. No calculations. Which Dr. order would you implement first? Which Dr. order needs further clarification. A few infectious control. Lots of med surg. I also had "you need to clear rooms for incoming patients, which patient would you discharge first?"...following by 4 answers that all included very sick sounding patients. Nothing was straight forward. At times it was hard for me to even narrow it down to two. And I've never heard of anybody getting 150 questions. I studied Saunders and thought I was well prepared. Ugh. I don't know how I'm going to function the next couple days. So much is riding on me passing. Thoughts? Reassurance?

Hey May 06 grads..any of you seeking NICU?
Hey! I had a NICU interview last week...it was very low key and laid back. She gave me a tour of the unit and then handed me a card and told me to contact her after I thought about it. I was so confused?!?! Was she offering me a position or did she mean this is an intense unit make sure you want to do it. So I took a week to think about it and then called/emailed her to tell her I was interested in taking a job. I haven't heard back. I'm so nervous. All of a suddent I really want this job. Any idea about her approach? Do you guys think she was offering me a job or was she saying well her's my card you may or may not get a job here. so confused. help!

Kaplan???
Thanks for your input and helpful suggestions. I just posted a thread about whether or not to take Saunders Online or Kaplan....I'm still undecided. Anybody else have feedback about Kaplan?
